I loved The Road, I dont mind if it's old or new, just the more realistic the better

Based on the recommendations of this thread I watched The Road last night. So very bleak. Excellent film. Will work my way through some of the suggestions.

Atalune listed three of my favourites.

Hardware (90s Australian sci-fi, set at Christmas)

Not quite dystopia but 'world in peril':

• The Mad Death (80s TV series about rabies outbreak in UK)
• Edge of Darkness (also 80s TV series, political thriller about nuclear industry conspiracy & environmental activists)

Thanks for these recommendations (even though it's not my thread)! I watched What Happened to Monday last night. Will work my way through. I've been in hospital and am having to take it easy so these are really great to occupy my time.

I have been plowing my way through the suggestions, and we have a long cold winter ahead, so I will have lots of chances to indulge in a couch marathon
