"Antibiotics... they're wonderful pills, but don't ever think they'll cure all of your ills"

Yes. The antibiotics song 🤦‍♀️

I had in on a loop in my head last night and then noticed this morning, I was actually singing it out loud whilst doing the washing up...and with an embarrassing amount of enthusiasm Blush

Beat that!

It can't just be me!

I've never heard that song and because of its potential earworm status I'm not going to Google!

I had a pretty debilitating earworm last year. Was awful, really got me down. I finally shook it, but hope I haven't resurrected it by thinking about it now!

FinTutuola · 15/11/2019 10:07

‘Waaaaaffle Doggy’. Never have I been so affected by ear worms than since I started watching CBeebies, but this is by far the worst.

Me and my two year old even change the lyrics to suit what we’re doing - ‘maaaaaking a cake’ ‘plaaaaaying football’. She does it by herself now, I feel so guilty for inflicting it on her!

Yep, that one gets me too OP Blush Even worse though, my latest is the theme tune to Dogtanian and the Muskehounds (80's kids tv show) including the barking bit, it's so annoying! Baby shark gets me sporadically as well, DD cruelly plants it in my head on purpose, evil child Grin

20viona · 15/11/2019 10:08

The baby sensory 'say hello to the sun' song 🤬

GiveHerHellFromUs · 15/11/2019 10:10

I actually love the antibiotics song.

The out of tune 'friends, friends, friends' Paw Patrol song. I've put the Peppa channel on for a reason, go away Paw Patrol!

AwdBovril · 15/11/2019 10:13

I have 2, & they've been the same since I was in my teens. They're both songs from before I was born (can't say which as I've mentioned them to many people). I get one or both, most weeks, for several hours.

However in recent years, Waffle Doggy has been particularly annoying. Not helped by DD & DH singing it... badly! Grin

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/11/2019 10:17

My friend and I play competitive ear worm to make the time go quicker.

You just hum a catchy tune and infect the other person. Unfortunately my friend knows my kryptonite tune. She just writes it on a bit of paper and passes it to me. So below the belt!

Damn you bloody 'Bergerac'.

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/11/2019 10:17

At work I should add.

SallyOMalley · 15/11/2019 10:18

This sort of an earworm but it's not a song (does that count?!)

It's a telephone number - 01 811 8055.

Those of a certain age will know where that's from!

And now it's started ... 🙄☎️😁

cornstarch · 15/11/2019 10:19

It's a Cocomelon song ' All the Animals are Playing in the Band'

mogtheexcellent · 15/11/2019 10:21

Currently 'yes sir I can boogie' crap 70s disco song.

Annoying but better than Nick Copes 'babys done poo'

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/11/2019 10:22

Oh my god.... was that the Swap Shop number?

iklboo · 15/11/2019 10:25

Urine leakage, urine leakage!!! (Tena Men)

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 15/11/2019 10:33

The Birdseye vegetables advert😆

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 15/11/2019 10:49

I've had 'When I'm Sixty-four' by the Beatles as an earworm for over ten years.
I think I probably sing it to myself at least twice a day and I absolutely hate it but all attempts to get rid of it have failed. Drives me mad!!

safariboot · 15/11/2019 10:53

I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves, on everybody's nerves, I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves, and this is how it goes.

doggyg · 15/11/2019 11:05

20viona I'd forgotten all about the baby sensory song! Just listened to it on YouTube and am sobbing because DD isn't a baby anymore Blush

Electrocute1980 · 15/11/2019 11:07

That bloody Dance Monkey song by Tones and I. Her voice is HIDEOUS and it get stuck in my ear most days just now!!

timeforawine · 15/11/2019 11:09

Waaaaaffle Doggy’. Never have I been so affected by ear worms than since I started watching CBeebies, but this is by far the worst

This gives me the rage, bloody hate that show Angry

Ohidontknow99 · 15/11/2019 11:09

@GiveHerHellFromUs haha this made me laugh completely agree !!

Hidingtonothing · 15/11/2019 11:14

And now I have the antibiotic song firmly stuck for today, cheers OP Grin

SallyOMalley · 15/11/2019 11:24

Oh my god.... was that the Swap Shop number?

Yes!! That particular synapse is still firing after nearly 40 years!

StealthPolarBear · 15/11/2019 11:28

BAAAAA by shark doo doo de doo de doo

permanentlyexhaustedpigeon · 15/11/2019 12:24

There's a wonderful scene in Touching the Void where one of the climbers is crawling across snow drifts with Brown Girl In The Ring stuck in his head. He reckons it saved his life because he refused to have that as the last thing he thought about..

At the moment, it's that sodding Rockabye shrieky song. I think I prefer Yes Sir I Can Boogie (which says a lot)

I usually have a benevolent ear worm and a malevolent one I want to get rid of. Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box is the benevolent one at the moment.

Safariboot - I hear that one at home a lot too...
