"Antibiotics... they're wonderful pills, but don't ever think they'll cure all of your ills"

Yes. The antibiotics song 🤦‍♀️

I had in on a loop in my head last night and then noticed this morning, I was actually singing it out loud whilst doing the washing up...and with an embarrassing amount of enthusiasm Blush

Beat that!

Any Mumsnetters that have lived in the US will know the highly irritating Kars for Kids song from the radio- if you YouTube it, it will stay in your head for the rest of your life...

And oddly, the Bodger and Badger theme tune. Can't get rid of it.

Mysterian · 15/11/2019 19:33

Anything by mrweebl. Have a look on YouTube.

One2Three4Five6 · 15/11/2019 20:26

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas - Gayla Peevey

My DC loves it and is singing it on repeat, meaning so am I half the time!

Raggy Dolls theme tune. Now you've reminded me, I'll have it for a good week or so. Thanks, OP...🤪

GoKartMozart · 15/11/2019 20:34

They played Supertramp 'Bloody Well Right' on the radio earlier. I detest that song and I cannot shift it.

PortiaCastis · 15/11/2019 20:37

Bloody backstreet boys
Everybody yeaaaahhh
Rock your body yeeaahh
My OH is learning this ditty on his guitar and he accompanies it with his admirable wailing
OMG we're back again
Backstreets back alright
STFU !!!

MaryBoBary · 15/11/2019 20:40

This thread is amazing and infuriating in equal measures Grin
Waffle doggy is a family staple, as are the molly and mac songs - although DP and DS alter the words slightly... "oops, oh no, I did a big fat poo" Hmm.
I also regularly have the phone number 0800 00 1066 to that stupid tube in my head. And currently the "did somebody say just eat" advert.

MaryBoBary · 15/11/2019 20:41

Oh and the only part of the antibiotics song I can remember is the last line, and this also regularly gets stuck in my head:

"Always take, your doctors, advice."

MaryBoBary · 15/11/2019 20:48

Oh, and another one I forgot to mention but was belting out about an hour ago in a strong cockney accent - WOOOOOAAAAAAH we love tool station, RIIIIIIIIIGHT across the nation!

ememem84 · 15/11/2019 21:42

@PortiaCastis just leaving this here for you.... 😛

I should also say the video for backstreets back is one of my faves. Filmed on set of the Casper movie. I think.

MidnightMystery · 15/11/2019 21:49

@RavenLG

Do me a favour, and open the door Grin

BareKneesDeCourcy · 16/11/2019 01:04

DS and I have the same one- "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" from the Lion King. I have an excellent video of him miming it on the bus to Animal Kingdom, using his water bottle as a microphone. He's 19...

My other one is Na Na Na Na by My Chemical Romance. Na na na na na na na na na na na na, na na na na na na na na na na na na na, na na na na na, na na na na na na na, drugs gimme drugs gimme drugs...

motortroll · 16/11/2019 02:33

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll same! Every bloody day!!!! These are family ear worms for us!!

motortroll · 16/11/2019 02:42

I used to always randomly have Amy Grant Baby Baby for YEARS! It's gone and left me now thank god!

My husband and I have a shared ear worm which is less random but once we hear it we're singing it for ever....,raspberry beret by prince. If one if us hears it we text the other some lyrics so they get stuck on it too lol

I don't have a particular one atm. I feel a bit bereft!

My mum always sings Everyday by Buddy Holly absent mindedly in the kitchen. Always has fine for as long as I can remember!

motortroll · 16/11/2019 02:50

Oh I do have one! I forgot....my love has got no money.....and like a pp it's in relation to "trombolese".....my daughter plays trombone and EVERYTIME she plays I end up singing it lol

Heymummee · 16/11/2019 08:26

I’ve had Michael Jackson’s Earth Song since 1995. It interchanges with what I can only describe as the theme tune for a circus. Try as I might, I can’t get rid of either.

Ravenrob · 16/11/2019 08:31

If your DC watch Cartoon Network you'll understand...
Apple and Onion

Sgtmajormummy · 16/11/2019 08:56
  1. “We don’t talk any more like we used tooooo dooooo.”
  2. “Don’t worry ‘bout a thaaaaaaang.”
  3. First movement of Divertimento In D by Mozart, the king of earworms.

Have been doing the rounds for years.

Changelingfrommars · 16/11/2019 08:58

My children are 19 and 16 but yet I still sing a song in my head from Bear in the big blue house called ‘the brush your teeth song’ all I can hear in my head at times is ‘brush brush bree brush brush baroo!!!’

Changelingfrommars · 16/11/2019 08:59

Also, in the last week or two called ‘oh what a lonely boy’ or something like that. ‘They dressed him up warmly and they sent him to schoooool’

Doing my swede in!
