My daughter did that to my mum once - there was so much blood and poor mum was mildly concussed as well.

I hope your MIL is ok.

Likethebattle · 10/11/2019 12:39

I did that to my mum a few times, she’s done bloody short it’s really her fault!

judgemeallyouwant · 10/11/2019 12:39

PrincessHoneysuckle · 10/11/2019 12:43

Mum did it to my sister when she was about 6, she had to go to hospital as mum freaked about the blood but she didn't even need stitches and was fine in the end

Valcat · 10/11/2019 12:58

I've been wary around car boots ever since though

OhMsBeliever · 10/11/2019 13:05

I did it to myself. I actually saw stars, it was quite amazing!

BareKneesDeCourcy · 10/11/2019 13:08

MrsWillGardner

Have you been a street urchin ever since?

TheQueef · 10/11/2019 13:10

I've done this to my brother.
His head bled for ages and he milked it to death.
Not sorry, 100% would do it again.

Italiangreyhound · 10/11/2019 13:14

I hope your MIL is OK.

I can't believe people are joking about it, it is incredibly painful.

Someone else hit my head with the car boot door. When I think about it I get a sensation in my head. There was no blood.

Hope she is OK. Thanks

Drum2018 · 10/11/2019 13:14

I'm disappointed - I thought it may have been a thread from someone who had just lost the plot with MIL and took the frying pan to her head Grin

WaningGibbous · 10/11/2019 13:19

I was parked next to someone that did this to themself - she had her hand on her head and blood was pouring down her arm and dripping off her elbow. It was very impressive.

How is she now?

Kaykay06 · 10/11/2019 13:22

I did it to myself during the week and jeez it was so so bloody sore no blood but a few choice words.

Drabarni · 10/11/2019 13:26

Aw, poor mil.
Accidents happen, it's not your fault. I'm glad she's taken it well.

Greysparkles · 10/11/2019 13:27

I did that to my dad, he needed stitches

Mothership4two · 10/11/2019 13:29

DF did it to DM once. She needed stitches. Not a happy bunny.

Mothership4two · 10/11/2019 13:30

DS shut his thumb in the car door when he was 6. Messy business

Puffinhead · 10/11/2019 13:32

I have literally just done this to my 8 year old!

APerkyPumpkin · 10/11/2019 13:35

I did that once to one of my employees.

I felt absolutely awful for ages.

paw1977 · 10/11/2019 13:37

I did this an hour ago in to my 8 year old. No blood, just lots of tears .

MsChatterbox · 10/11/2019 13:39

A special needs worker at tesco once closed the boot on the hand of an elderly person with arthritis. Her scream was awful!

FinallyMrsE · 10/11/2019 13:42

I got up in the night for a wee and hit my head on the beam that goes across the middle of our bedroom (we are in the loft) I’ve been in that room 4 years and got up every night for a wee so no idea how I misjudged it so badly last night 🤦🏻‍♀️

Zaphodsotherhead · 10/11/2019 13:42

I shut my late mum's hand in the car door once.

It was, obviously, before she was late, and was not a contributing cause to her death, thankfully.
