Is there already a thread about the instamum dramas involving MoD today?

Tattle mods have banned lots of folk for questioning certain posters claims regarding instagrammers they call it 'derailment'. So the free speech they claim to allow is bullshit - they only want the knife going into the instagrammers, doesn't matter if it is utter lies.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 10/11/2019 16:19

So you could rock up on a thread and say I'm Hinches SIL and she never fucking cleans blah blah. Question the SIL about her authenticity and you are gone - banhammer! Hundreds will pile in with the froth over Hinches 'SIL' being on Tattle the thread gets whipped up and it goes on and on...

No they haven't. They've tried to stop threads going round and round in circles and off topic like the MN threads did, thanks to certain posters (one of which showed up here, in fact).

If you have an alternative view of an influencer and love them so much you can't contain it, there's a rave section on Tattle where you can wax lyrical about them to your hearts content...

The tattle moderation policy creates an echo chamber which is the same, but polar opposite, to the instahuns moderation policy of deleting and blocking any criticism on their feeds. Neither is healthy.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 10/11/2019 16:27

I was banned - it happens. I wasn't blowing smoke up any instagrammers arse so didn't need to use the Rave section, just questioned certain posters authenticity and wild fucking claims.

Tooearlyforcrackers · 10/11/2019 16:28

I think you are being a little naive Bobby, sorry.

Tooearlyforcrackers · 10/11/2019 16:29

Banhammer

😂

Spot on.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 10/11/2019 16:37

Ah a fellow banhammered? Grin

AlbertWinestein · 10/11/2019 17:18

For perspective, there’s absolutely LOADS of bloggers/gramers who have been caught out posting on their own GOMI threads. It’s not particularly new and most of them have recovered and continued with their success. I’m wondering why it would be any different for MoD, except for being UK instead of US based.

MontBlancHonk · 10/11/2019 17:19

I think we're in for a generation of lawsuits from dc who have been robbed if a private childhood.

Probably not just the instamums too. But they will lead the way.

Tooearlyforcrackers · 10/11/2019 17:19

There are a lot of people who have been subject to the banhammer, for all kind of spurious reasons Wink.

Tattle is great because there are a lot of very funny, intelligent people on there, with an amazing ability to sniff out bullshit and call it out. The points raised on there are often extremely valid.

The downside is that there are people posting on there with personal agendas, people deliberately spreading lies and gaslighting other users and encouraging other people to go too far and say/do things they wouldn't do otherwise and the moderation policy doesn't deal with this, in fact I would say it sometimes creates the environment to allow it to happen.

PeterRouseTheFleshofMankind · 10/11/2019 17:34

Oh, please. It's no worse than MN is. This is hardly the place to be taking the moral high ground about content.

Absolute bollocks. Tattle is vile and allows stuff that would never be allowed on here.

I don't look on there much but one thread I do follow is the one about Jess aka TheFatFunnyOne. She isn't my cup of tea and some of the stuff they say on there I do agree with (eg. About her current NY trip). But some of the things that are said on there about her weight, her appearance, her family and the verging on racist comments about her hygiene are absolutely appalling and would never be allowed on here. I don't know about other people, I was kind of drawn into that particular thread and keep going back to it because I'm so open mouthed about how disgusting people are on there to be honest.

PeterRouseTheFleshofMankind · 10/11/2019 17:38

I unfollowed Style Me Sunday when she started using the term 'womxn'.

ComeBackPeterComeBackPaul · 10/11/2019 18:02

What does FoD do next? He can't simultaneously claim that social media has a dark side and then keep shilling his kids to finance that Insta house.

Were they slagging off influencers they have relationships with or just defending themselves/raising their profiles?

I'm assuming the backlash is because she is vehemently against trolling & wants to close down Tattle & her brand relies on the "sisterhood". The comment re CB are very problematic, from a brand perspective.
Although it does feel like a lot of people have been unhappy but stayed quiet so now the knives are out. Society as a whole cannot stand hypocrisy.

PinkJam · 10/11/2019 19:12

Daily Mail Online has done an article on this now and named Tattle Life so they will be getting loads of new members

CadyHeron · 10/11/2019 19:33

Grin I posted ONCE in the whole of the 26 pages here (sorry, two, as I did a little wave at someone) if you are referring to me. Never once have I posted off topic on these threads, but it's deemed as such if you have a different opinion and post positively instead of getting sucked into the mire of bitch fest.

Absolute bollocks. Tattle is vile and allows stuff that would never be allowed on here
Completely agree with this - on one of the other threads someone mentioned it and did a link to it - utterly foul, I lasted about 10 minutes of scrolling and had to leave.
Half of the stuff on there would never stand on here, thankfully - and I'm still a bit Shock that supposed adults are like that (if it was my kids doing it I'd be banning them off the internet until they learned to grow up lol)

CadyHeron · 10/11/2019 19:37

just questioned certain posters authenticity and wild fucking claims

Is that a euphemism for troll hunting? If so can see why then, as that's always a no go on forums (well it is on here any way so maybe Tattle doesn't like it either.....

SleepyKat · 10/11/2019 19:39

I’ve seen quite a bit of muttering about how there was a hidden racist element to the posts MOD put on Tattle. Shocking if true when she’s a midwife.

Tonkerbea · 10/11/2019 19:45

Cigarettes and Calpol has done a good post on this.

It's so true that the undercurrent of racism is the most disturbing thing to come out of this sorry saga.

MarshaBradyo · 10/11/2019 19:56

It is the most damaging thing given the amount of people putting it on their accounts too.

mustangsly · 10/11/2019 19:57

Yy to cigarettesandcalpol's post. And watch the stories from the linked accounts in that post.

Accounts calling out MOD's racist behaviour have been deleted by insta.

MarshaBradyo · 10/11/2019 19:59

Have they? Which ones Mustangly if you know the names

mustangsly · 10/11/2019 20:02

@MarshaBradyo I'm still watching the relevant stories, but @kelechekoff has been deleted

sniffingthewax · 10/11/2019 20:08

To be fair Kelechekoff was raving like a lunatic, using threats of violence and calling MOD a demon and lots of other extremely derogatory language.
