How big were your babies?

BigBabyMaker · 06/11/2019 16:16

First baby weighed a nice 11lb 2oz.

I’ve heard they get bigger each time, and I’m honestly dreading the idea of a bigger baby. I was massive at the end and it was uncomfortable all round.

How much did your baby’s weigh? And did they get bigger?

DC1 is only 5 months and looking to start TTC when she is around 11months old.

DD was 10lb6 at 39 weeks
I'm 38+5 with DS, measuring smaller on scan and tape. They think 9lb at 40 weeks.

Potnoodledoo · 06/11/2019 16:51

Meant to add last one was an emergency c section

My 1st was a 4lb 13oz 34 weeker.
Which is still a good size and shudder to think how big he would of been full term!
32 weeks with 2nd so intrigued to see how this one pans out!

9lb 13oz for number one.
Number 2 was thankfully smaller at 8lb 7oz, a great relief as I had an unplanned home birth!

Ds1 6.10

Ds1 was overdue, dd and ds1 induced at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes. I was very lucky as usually babies are big with GD.
Have you been screened for GD yourself?

NatureGal · 06/11/2019 20:15

Ds1 5lbs 36+4 weeks
Dd1 5lbs 38+6 weeks

DS1 was 11 lbs 9 at 42 weeks, unsurprisingly EMCS
DS2 was 8 lbs 8 at 39+6, ELCS
It was so weird having a normal sized newborn the second time around!

avocadochocolate · 06/11/2019 20:23

Both born at 41.5 weeks:

DC1 9lb 2oz
DC2 9lb 11oz

EmmaGrundyForPM · 06/11/2019 20:24

DS1 - 5llbs (5 weeks early so probably should have been around 7.5lbs)

Ds2 - 10 lbs at full term but I had polyhydramnios so that affected his birthweight
