A bag that you poke inside an attached pouch/bag to keep in your handbag

Have I said 'bag' enough times, do you think?

I am looking for one of these. A little bag that I can keep in my handbag in case I make purchases. But not one that you have to fold tidily. one that you can sort of poke into a little pouch that is part of the bag.

I've had this one where you push the bag into the sheep for a few years, but I am looking for a more grown up one with a nicer pattern.

Oxfam do them made from recycled saris.
They seem small and flimsy, but are actually surprisingly capacious and strong, but scrunch up really small. And they are very lightweight.

M&S Food have them by the checkout. The last one I remember seeing was a strawberry design but they probably have more.

Paperchase usually have several in different patterns :) I have a very boring one from M&S!

Thanks, I've seen the Oxfam ones, they're lovely. But they only fold. They don't have a little pouch attached as part of the bag that you can sort of poke the bag into. And that's what I'm after.

There's a company called onya who make these because they're always on ya. They're indestructible.

monday1983 · 04/11/2019 14:20

Primark has them

WellTidy · 04/11/2019 14:21

Lovely! Thank you. The paperchase ones are nice. Now that I've found them though, I am getting more fussy. I need it to fit over my shoulder. Any recommendations please?

A bog standard cotton tote folds up to smaller than a phone. I just stick an elastic band around it so it doesn't come loose.

Whathappenedtothelego · 04/11/2019 14:23

THe oxfam ones do have a pouch, they are attached by a little loop inside the bag, and you just scrunch them back in and fold the top over.

WomensRightsAreContraversial · 04/11/2019 14:23

I was a tight arse and bought mine from Savers for a princely sum of 79p!

ThrilledToTiddlyBits · 04/11/2019 14:25

I have a Radley one that I got as a gift years ago. Strong as an ox, used almost daily when I have to pop into tesco express on my way home from work.

They don't have a little pouch attached as part of the bag that you can sort of poke the bag into. And that's what I'm after.

Does your handbag have suitably sized pouches pockets that you could stuff one into?

BigGlasses · 04/11/2019 14:26

I'm lurking for recommendations too! I had one like yours (I had the hedgehog one) but it tore. I've seen some in the shops but they are always with a seperate bag which I can't be faffed with. I'd just lose it. I like the handiness of stuffing it inside itself. like those pac a macs that you used to get in the 80s!

TokyoSushi · 04/11/2019 14:27

I got mine in Aldi for 99p, but it's wearing out (after about a year) now I know that Paperchase do them....

Sgtmajormummy · 04/11/2019 14:39

Pouches are a PITA, having to fumble with them at the checkout. Wraparound stitched-on elastic is the way to go.

This is nice:

theemmadilemma · 04/11/2019 15:18

*it scruches into itself.

Simonfromharlow · 04/11/2019 15:18

Wilki do one for about a £1 that folds into its own corner

Wilko

MardAsSnails · 04/11/2019 15:19

I use the M&S ones that screw up into the corner of the bag and have a drawstring. They work well

MirandaWest · 04/11/2019 15:20

I have a sheep bag and an owl bag and an elephant bag. Haven’t grown up enough to want to have something else Grin

cormorantyes · 04/11/2019 15:21

I have had my Onya one for YEARS, as pp said it is indestructible. Because I don't have enough to think about the other day I calculated I must have used it well over 1000 times.

HollowTalk · 04/11/2019 15:21

These bags are from Marks and Spencer for about £2 each. No idea why Amazon is selling them for £12.99 a pair.

I have a radley one that was a gift, similar to this;

SittHakim · 04/11/2019 15:23

Envirosax! They are brilliant, come in loads of patterns and have a pouch attached.
