A bag that you poke inside an attached pouch/bag to keep in your handbag

Have I said 'bag' enough times, do you think?

I am looking for one of these. A little bag that I can keep in my handbag in case I make purchases. But not one that you have to fold tidily. one that you can sort of poke into a little pouch that is part of the bag.

I've had this one where you push the bag into the sheep for a few years, but I am looking for a more grown up one with a nicer pattern.

I also have one from Savers and one from Aldi come to think of it.

I use the savers one for putting my recycling in though.

I got exactly this from Ikea about 10 years ago. No idea if they still make them.

I have an M&S one that you stuff into it’s own corner and drawstring into a heart. Primark have lots of Christmas themed ones too :)

Ikea!! I have several of these https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/knalla-carrier-bag-black-white-20330491/and they are exactly what you describe. Light, spacious and scrunch up into a wee bag bit. I always have one in my handbag and they can handle a surprising amount of weight.

Shodan · 04/11/2019 16:00

I still have sheep ones Grin but they do more 'grown up' patterns too... here

TheQueef · 04/11/2019 16:07

I got an irregular choice one a few years ago thinking I'd never use it but every time anyone sees it I get compliments, Wish I'd bought ten I don't think they still sell them.

I had the hedgehog one but dropped it in Lidl one day and couldn't find it again. Whoever you are out there, I hope you're using it and loving it as much as I did. Hedgehog-bag-stealing-tosspot.

Well, now I've bought one of those Sass and Bell ones (the fox), so you've cost me £3.99 OP! Grin

I've got some that scrunch into a corner with a drawstring, they were from Hobbycraft and the British Heart Foundation charity shop. It's the best design imo. I've also got a very large bag from wilko that folds down and has an attached strap with a popper to keep it small. Not quite as good, but so big it's good for different circumstances.

MrsEricBana · 04/11/2019 17:09

I have 2 of these but the best of the two by a country mile is the one I got from a farm shop because the straps are long enough to go over my shoulder, v my Sainsburys one which only has short handles so cuts off my hand circulation if I have a heavy load.

MrsEricBana · 04/11/2019 17:09

(I have an Onya bag too but again short straps)

WellTidy · 04/11/2019 17:09

I’ve bought the paper chase one with rainbows on the way home from work. Let’s hope it fulfils all requirements Smile

British heart foundation sell bags in a pouch that you can just poke back into itself.

MountainPeakGeek · 04/11/2019 17:28

These are the ones that I have. Very strong, machine washable and the straps are long enough for me to put over my shoulder:

iKea have them and it fits over the shoulder.

DontCallMeShitley · 04/11/2019 17:52

Ebay has a choice, I prefer the roll up ones as stuffing the bag inside is a pain so have seen and avoided the ones you want.

MirandaWest · 04/11/2019 17:57

Have bought myself a sass and belle Christmas pudding one Grin

BluebellsareBlue · 04/11/2019 17:58

I got a pokey in one in hobbycraft

Mynxie · 04/11/2019 18:05

These are brilliant, really strong and with a zipped center section. Goes easily over my shoulder. If you hang on they often have an offer on them when they are £12 ish for 3 with free postage. Much bigger than the usual fold up ones too

Decathlon do an awesome one that squished into its own pouch and when you take it out it's a rucksack not a shoulder bag - amazing! www.decathlon.co.uk/ultra-compact-backpack-10l-grey-id_8356624.html

NannyR · 04/11/2019 18:43

I've had one of these onya bags for years. They scrunch up tiny, but the bag itself is huge. As others have said, they are indestructible. Mine has a small loop on the side that you can clip the karabiner and attached pouch to and it makes a shoulder strap.

CottonSock · 04/11/2019 18:46

My onya bag has outlasted many cheaper immitations

Wizzbangpop · 04/11/2019 18:55

I Think mine is from Superdrug. Might be worth a look

user1498572889 · 04/11/2019 19:01

I’ve brought loads of them from m&s. My daughters keep nicking them.
