The highlight of my weekend is a porcini mushroom Higgidy pie off the reduced counter in the co-op....what's been yours?
(I know I need to get out more...)

So many!

It’s half term, I’m savouring the lack of ‘Oh fuck, it’s Sunday night’ feeling

Bloke came to quote for the kitchen flooring, cheapest of all quotes so far. Booked!

Dog and I snoozed in the chair, he didn’t flop round like a landed fish for a change.

Made a banana cake.

Decided to stop whinging about my disability and try to be more motivated/energetic. I don’t NEED to be mollycoddled (even if I really like it!)

Went out for a friend's 40th last night to a fancy bar with a bunch of friends. Haven't done anything like that for so long (have 3 young DC so just overwhelmed by kid stuff) didn't stay late, but it was fun to be out in the world.

This afternoon DH and I taking the boys to our local park to ride their bikes at sunset.

Went to a beautiful RHS garden yesterday, the autumn colours were amazing.

My new mattress was delivered and I SLEPT. Smile. I used the opportunity to vacuum and clean the entire room and I moved all the junk out.

Waking up anxious at 4am last night and my partner giving me so many hugs and strokes even though he was shattered. I felt very loved Grin and made him breakfast in bed when we finally got up this morning so hopefully he felt loved too. It's the little things!

Awww congratulations Kat SmileFlowers

The sunshine! We went for a walk in Langdale and it was lovely not to be in rain as usual. Nice to be going to work on Monday actually having seen some blue sky.

It was the first proper hot day of spring (34, lovely!) so we went to the beach and had our first swim of the season. We also had some friends round to watch the rugby so put the bbq for the first time in ages and had a few wines. I love this time of year, knowing we have sunshine for months ahead!

My youngest has been away with the Army Cadets to Alton Towers this weekend. He travelled overnight on Friday/Saturday morning. I had trouble sleeping, so was up all night. We spent almost his entire journey messaging each other on our family group, it was lovely. My wife wondered what had been going on when she woke up to a tonne of notifications Smile

It was such a simple thing, but I loved it.

Aebj · 28/10/2019 05:40

Saturday was a chill day, with a beautiful visit to the beach late afternoon, bringing fish and chips home for dinner.
Work on Sunday and it was soooo bloody hot😪

we had a lovely family day(as in extended family). Big roast lunch followed by lovely walk. The significance of this is that our family get togethers are usually disastrous as one sibling and really I don’t get on. I think DM was just basking in a day of non arguing adult children and having all her grandchildren together. At the end DH said ‘can we just call that Christmas and be done with it?’. I can’t imagine Christmas will be the same.

pinkmagic1 · 28/10/2019 05:50

Lovely hack out along the river in the autumn sunshine yesterday morning on the horse I part loan. Haven't managed to ride out properly for a while due to the horrendous weather so it was really lovely.

BabyMoonPie · 28/10/2019 06:24

I ran my first half marathon in a long time. The weather and scenery were gorgeous and I beat the time I wanted

historysock · 28/10/2019 06:31

Had a surprisingly lovely afternoon with the two teens at a vintage kilo sale and then a walk around the town (where we had never been before) in the rain... and got a lovely faux fur leopard print coat (that I'll probably wear about once) for a tenner Smile.
Been a bit of a tough patch with dd1 for the last week or so-just normal teen grumping but a bit wearing nevertheless, so it was nice to see some sunshine from her for a little bit.

Seeing Rembrandts Light at the Dulwich picture gallery. Wept.

Family trip to Dover Castle and nothing went wrong, everyone agreed that it was a fascinating place and there was very little whinging plus all the trains ran smoothly and on time.
