The highlight of this weekend was it being my first weekend off in about 7 weeks and having dropped my dsd back off with her mum we took a trip to the coast and had a lovely walk along the beach

nicannie · 27/10/2019 19:38

@Livingthedream12345 try stay high spirited if you can then since u know it's going to be tough - look for the light at the end of it - sound cliche but it's the advice I usually give myself when the going gets tough xx

Daughters birthday party. I worked my arse off all week and nearly broke Pinterest but it was so much fun.

She looked on cloud 9 the whole time and had a huge smile on her face as we said goodnight.

House is an absolute disaster zone but I'm in the bath so I can't see it and will worry about it in the morning Smile

Lunch out in town with DH and the DCs. Lovely food and they behaved well, nice family time.

Justabadwife · 27/10/2019 19:47

Mine was going swimming with dd (10) this morning. Our normal swimming pool was closed, so DH offered to drive the extra half an hour to the leisure centre. When we got there, there was no one else in the pool, and the staff put loads of floats in. We just had loads of fun.

Thanks @nicannie. I found a 'lucky' horse shoe a while ago. I told an elderly lady that it didn't appear to be lucky. She told me things may have been worse had I not found it. Such a positive outlook!

My almost 5 week olds first proper smile 😍

boatyardblues · 27/10/2019 19:51

We bought a new non-stick frying pan yesterday. For the first time in weeks, our Sunday morning pancakes didn’t stick. Cherish the little wins, eh?

Went to Greenwich today for the first time in ages. Maritime museum, chips, an enormous carry-cuddle with my snuggle-refusing 2 year old. Bliss.

Weather was just fantastic. Trying to soak it up before winter proper sets in.

HairyToity · 27/10/2019 19:57

I've been poorly. DH worked Saturday, but on Sunday he was off. He took the kids out so I could have a sleep. A daytime sleep was my highlight.

AnuvvaMuvva · 27/10/2019 19:58

Watched Real Steel with DS2.
Watched Halloween with DS1.
Had one of the best shags of my entire life with DH. 🥰

onemorecakeplease · 27/10/2019 19:58

Ooh I don't know - bike riding in the forest on a sunny Saturday or
Making pumpkin lanterns and pumpkin pie and the dc wolfing it down at tea time!

Defo not the migrainey headache I've had for the past 5 days tho!

And how lovely for the pp who felt her baby kick 😊

dementedma · 27/10/2019 20:11

Watching England beat the All Blacks in the rugby

carbuncleonapigsposterior · 27/10/2019 20:26

Saturday night, "Spiral" back to back, 2 episodes BBC4, don't know what I'm going to do when it finishes Sad

Pepperwand · 27/10/2019 20:33

Going to a local garden centre to see the Christmas decorations and just seeing my two young boys' little faces lighting up on absolute wonder.

Pepperwand · 27/10/2019 20:35

In absolute wonder that should have said. Also sitting in a cafe with a hot chocolate just watching the rain pouring down outside and feeling all cozy.

Leflic · 27/10/2019 20:42

I came on to say the rugby. Great result but also a fabulous game. Those men....
Sun coming out was good.
Making white chocolate chewy cookies. Not normally into sweet things but these were divine.

yellowallpaper · 27/10/2019 20:44

England beating the All Blacks in the rugby World Cup. Amazing!

marvellousnightforamooncup · 27/10/2019 20:45

I finished painting the kitchen units and it looks like a new kitchen for the price of a couple of tins of paint. I'm very happy.

Frokni · 27/10/2019 20:47

A night to myself on Saturday (DH & DD4 out at halloween party) after DD2 fell asleep on time. Watched 2 Bobs Burgers, drank a glass of red and ate pasta meatballs!

A Greggs lunch with DH and 2 DDs today :-)

iknowimcoming · 27/10/2019 20:48

Lovely walk in the autumn sunshine this afternoon, collected lots of chestnuts to be roasted on the fire shortly Grin

HumphreyCobblers · 27/10/2019 20:49

Seeing DS3, who is six and who has had a severe receptive and expressive speech delay, start to play and talk. He is using more and more language every day and his imaginative play is also coming on really well. It is so lovely to see him using all his toys (he used to ignore toys) in complicated games, vocalising for them (he was pretty much non verbal until about a year ago).

This weekend he has shown me lots of things, asked some questions, called me when he needed me, asked his Daddy to do things with him, gone into the garden and collected a load of wood from the shed and brought it into the house without any adult input - all things we feared he would never do.

It is amazing to see him enjoying his life Smile

mummyrocks1 · 27/10/2019 20:50

When my daughter said I love you mummy, you are beautiful and gave me a huge face. Also, her face when she got the fluffy toy she wanted

PrincessHoneysuckle · 27/10/2019 20:52

Taking my ds to Yorkshire Wildlife Park Grimms Scary Tales event. We saw loads of animals and it was really halloweeny and only 5 mins drive from us.

SorrelForbes · 27/10/2019 20:55
