Why are you up early this morning?

I've been up since 4.30 as my 1 yearold wanted a bottle and then vomited all over his cot (we are trying him on our milk). Partner cleaned it up whilst I cleaned son up and partner has now gone back to sleep as he got up with son yesterday. Son is now happily playing with his toys. We usually don't get up until 5.30/6.

Why are you up this morning?

my son wakes at 04.30 every morning so ofc with the clocks changing that now means 03.30 . this week will be tough.

madcatladyforever · 26/10/2019 06:18

Stress, I'm living in rented while selling and buying a house and moving 300 miles cross country post divorce.
I wake up at 4am , can't sleep from worrying about things and get up for a coffee so I'm knackered all day at work.

TheQueef · 26/10/2019 06:18

The Pain!!!!
I wake up for my medication but helpfully I have cats.
4.30-6am is when they like to riot on the landing and smash the bathroom up. Work up an appetite so they can demand food Hmm

Riot on the landing Grin

Because we are catching the 8am train to London

lizzlebizzle33 · 26/10/2019 06:20

On my way to work, 20 tables and chairs to put outside even though it's raining and no one will sit on them.

At least I have good coffee there though.

KatherineJaneway · 26/10/2019 06:21

Two hungry cats

AboutDiamond · 26/10/2019 06:23

With the clocks going back son will probably wake us up at 4.30/5. Last year it wasn't so bad as he was only 3 days old. when the clocks went forward my son wasn't affected by it so hopefully he isn't this time.

We are meant to be going away today so hopefully son is OK.

Ds is a swimmer and they train on Saturday mornings. Leaving in about 10 minutes when the caffeine hits my system!

Same tomorrow as has a competition. Leaving house at 7am on a Sunday is surely criminal? At least clocks will have gone back Grin

CeeceeBloomingdale · 26/10/2019 06:28

We're going on holiday!

WalkofShame · 26/10/2019 06:28

Stress. Too much to do and not enough time to do it. So I’m lying in the bath mumsnetting to avoid it.

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 26/10/2019 06:29

I’m always awake by 5 these days. Unfortunately last night my husband decided he couldn’t sleep either so he came down to try the sofa at 4 which woke me up. I couldn’t get up then because the animals would all want feeding and it’s too early so I lay awake until 5.30 and now I’m sitting at the dining table drinking tea and being cross that I can’t go and sit on the comfy chairs because husband is now asleep in there!!

Dowser · 26/10/2019 06:29

I s flare up

Worrywart21 · 26/10/2019 06:30

3 year old is an early riser unfortunately

billandbenflowerpotmen1 · 26/10/2019 06:32

I've got someone doing a house viewing booked at 9, the house hasn't been cleaned in two weeks and I'm running around like a mad thing but quietly so as to not disturb the neighbours!

BishopFrownofStThigh · 26/10/2019 06:34

Oh gosh some of these. Just woken up early with a lot on my mind. Autocorrect tried to put minge, yeah thanks.

Theonewiththecat · 26/10/2019 06:35

Dcat hasn't been well, hes had cystitis. So for the past few nights we haven't kicked him out of bed - he sleeps under the duvet between me and DH, until he gets warm enough then he sleeps on top, on my side of the bed and pulls all the duvet off me cos hes heavy. So I've woken up this morning with a really cold sore shoulder.
DH is all wrapped up and warm, the cats still snoring away, and I'm just cold.

donttellmetwice · 26/10/2019 06:35

My one month old likes to stir between 5-7am. I woke to make sure she's ok and I'm now not tired enough to go back to sleep. Hubby did the middle of the night feed so to be fair I've had a full night!

Palaver1 · 26/10/2019 06:35

Always up at 5 ish enjoying the peace till my asd child wakes up then it’s back to normality.

rollonoctober · 26/10/2019 06:36

Up with nearly 1 yr old DS who started the day at 5.30am. But I'll take it, as he went to bed at 7pm and didn't wake in the night, which is only the second time ever he's slept through. Just having a cup of tea while he eats some raisins and plays. Enjoying the relative calm before his 3 big brothers get up!

Sirzy · 26/10/2019 06:36

Turned Ds pump off at 3.30
Realised he had wet the bed
Couldn’t be bothered remaking his bed so changed him and he is asleep next to me.
Took him ages to settle
Now he is asleep (miracle in himself) but super noisy breathing has woken me and worried me

CountFosco · 26/10/2019 06:37

I'm always up at this time but today we are off to Spain for half term. Woo hoo!

BishopFrownofStThigh · 26/10/2019 06:37

billandben it's horrid isn't it?? Trouble is when you start you can never stop, there is always one square centimetre of dust after you think it's finished

Bellasblankexpression · 26/10/2019 06:37

Pregnant and got a cold. Blocked up, knackered but woke up at 5 or half 5 (can’t remember) and can’t get back to sleep. Could be worse!

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 26/10/2019 06:37

I've been awake since 3.30 with killer headache.
