There is something I am particularly interested in, but I won't say what it is as I don't want to skew the answers!

3 of my grandparents outlived my Dad. He died at 56 and both his parents were well done in their 90s when they passed away.

Ahh Irregular, my DH lost both of his parents when he was young his Mum died at 34 when he was 14 and his dad at 50 when he was 30. His nan died last year at 96 when he was 44. His nan looked after him when his mum died (his dad had buggerd off), and was very close to him and our children until she died, (in her own home and independent until three months before she went after a short illness).

I lost my last grandparent when I was 38. There's only one I never met - my maternal grandfather - he died when my mother was 12. I know little about him as he is never mentioned for some reason.

I lost my last parent 4 years ago.

I am only 45.

Feel I have been very short-changed on this front, but am lucky in other ways, so....
