What shop would you love a trolley dash around?

So as much stuff for free that you can get in your trolley in 5 minutes say. What would you buy?
I have just been browsing John Lewis so that would be a good shout. So much lovely stuff. I would head for The Home section-bedding/kitchen etc.
But equally I would love Home Bargains/B&M/Dunelm.

On the basis of whatever you get, you have to need/want and don't just pick it so that you can sell it I'm looking at you, diamond thieves and also on the basis of in only a few minutes, you don't have time to change floors in a department store ... I'm going for Lakeland too. Or if I could be totally self-indulgent, Waterstones.

Gingernaut · 23/10/2019 19:12

M&S.

Decent food and increasingly decent clothes....

Samsamsuperman · 23/10/2019 19:13

Probably M&S! I feel so old... 😂

Rockbird · 23/10/2019 19:15

Apple store definitely. Four or five MacBooks and a couple of fuck off huge iMacs and I could twiddle my thumbs for the remaining four minutes Grin

beela · 23/10/2019 19:17

Oliver Bonas. So much (slightly overpriced) lovely stuff but nothing I actually need. Also lovely clothes but nothing that goes with anything I already have.

The one near me is quite compact, I reckon I could get a full new matching wardrobe, lots of jewellery and some house stuff in 5 minutes.

Footle · 23/10/2019 19:18

Booths. Or John Arbon's mill shop with all that fabulous yarn and beautiful fibre tops to spin.

NomDeQwerty · 23/10/2019 19:22

John Lewis for all the £££ perfume I love but can rarely afford. Then I'd raid the Clarins skincare and Bobbi Brown stands. They're all near each other so not a second wasted.

KondoKonvert · 23/10/2019 19:23

Costco is a great shout. In five minutes, I reckon I could grab a tv, camera, life-size lit up Santa, an Instant Pot, loads of their boxes of muffins and a french-trimmed lamb rack. Bring it on.

M&S

Afternooninthepark · 23/10/2019 19:40

Pets at home - I’d fill up the trolley with bundles of fluffy bunnies and guinea pigs - dh would have a fit! Failing that then Hotel Chocolat would be my second choice.

SuperMeerkat · 23/10/2019 20:54

Have you noticed the trashy mags are stopping the trolley dashes now. They’re making out like they’re doing you a favour by letting you win £200 (I think) to chuck food merrily into your trolley. A trolley dash looks far more fun!

TSSDNCOP · 23/10/2019 21:18

I am an expert on White Company and could have it emptied back to bare walls in 5 minutes.

MarxandMarzipan · 23/10/2019 21:35

big shop at legoland.

TSSDNCOP · 23/10/2019 22:15

Tbf Marzipan you may have won the thread. Oz for oz, Lego may actually be more expensive than diamonds.

longtompot · 23/10/2019 22:16

Homesense or Waitrose.

BikeRunSki · 23/10/2019 22:18

Booths

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 23/10/2019 22:18

If they only stocked my size, then Sainsbos for the clothes then homewares. It's be crap if I had to rifle.

Failing that, Accessorize. Xmas shopping for the family done, good range of bags for myself and all the sparkly tat dd likes.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 23/10/2019 22:24

Any supermarket. Booze, cakes, some booze and some more cakes. Then some booze.

sideorderofchips · 23/10/2019 22:27

B&m. Or primark

PersonaNonGarter · 23/10/2019 22:31

Yes, yes to whoever said Fortnums. I would do 2 mins in chocolate, a minute in preserves and run downstairs to do 2mins in wine. Bliss

PrivateSpidey · 23/10/2019 22:35

A French pharmacy.
