Just seen a post on Facebook...

OP posts:

To get back to the actual OP (and to see whether this triggers the thread disappearing in a puff of smoke!) the 2 issues I can’t get past are

  1. Noel getting Sue pregnant when she was 13 and he was almost 18, which is just vile
  2. the fact they stick their kids on telly, vlogs etc and expose them like this before they’re old enough to give consent

Doesn’t matter how good/ bad/ indifferent their actual day to day parenting is. Those 2 facts say it all

@Venger Thanks for your posts. It is very true there are no grammar schools in several areas (boroughs) of the country. I

In some areas there are only two or three. Which means, you have around 3000 kids struggling to get 100 places at those schools. This is where all the effort to get children private tutors, etc. comes from. The competition is terrifying!

Skinnychip · 23/10/2019 14:29

The Radfords had 15 kids in the first tv show so they can't be doing it just for tv/social media . I am more surprised that the bakery funded 15 children (+ obligatory new pram with each arrival etc ) without any additional income.
There is masses of cringey product placements in their vlogs so i imagine they are sponsored by various companies/brands.

Skinnychip · 23/10/2019 14:31

...and they have also said they aren't doing any more tv shows
.....although they said that about babies several times and changed their minds.

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/10/2019 14:38

Back in the day when they had 15 kids there was no cap on child tax credit

Rominiyi · 23/10/2019 14:43

Thanks @Limer for your comment. @53Zeds was asking for clarification of what I meant from my first post yesterday, with examples to demonstrate my points.

I gave examples to demonstrate my points, however, some posters seem to have taken great offence, while some posters have been supportive.

All I can say, is all the examples I have given are real. I apologise deeply to anyone who has been offended. That was not at all my intention.

Those examples I have given have affected me greatly. I have not written them to brag.

Thesearmsofmine · 23/10/2019 15:03

I think they did say they wouldn’t do any more tv documentaries in the U.K. I think there was a fair bit of criticism in the media last time because it came up that she was only 13 when she got pregnant,

However they will make thousands from their YouTube channel and promoting brands on social media plus all the freebies. Plus this way the control what is shown.

Aaarrgghhh · 23/10/2019 15:38

Rominiyi posts are brilliant. A delight to read.

Horehound · 23/10/2019 16:16

Yo be fair I just gave birth and in the information pack from hospital there were condoms and also in the Scottish baby box. But it's not meant as a hint never to have children again, its because women are extremely fertile after just giving birth and even if no period, you can still get pregnant at this time. I think @rominiyi has just decided it was a hint..for some weird reason. Maybe the brother just didn't want any more kids!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/10/2019 16:18

I gave birth 6 weeks ago. No condoms were given! I just had baby 5 as well so if they were going to try and stop anyone you would think it would be me!

HelenaDove · 23/10/2019 16:31

Also the editing was much less favourable, we had direct cuts from Sue saying the kids all loved a new baby, to one of them saying that they wished she would stop, which was a lot more overt than previous editing I felt

Channel 4 feeling uncomfortable all of a sudden?

Or worried one of the older kids might approach a rival channel.

Passthecherrycoke · 23/10/2019 16:48

God look at Scotland desperate to pump out all these kumon geniuses. Biggest sigh yet they’re preparing for independence I reckon.

Decaf weep with me, and our husbands who clearly exude AVERAGE PENIS vibes SOB

Venger · 23/10/2019 17:00

The consultant recommended DH have a vasectomy after our last DC, they were obviously desperate to stop him producing any more children.

Even when they had 15 kids they still had a 10 bedroom house. At one time nearly everyone in the UK got tax credits, even those earnings £70k and above.

MyDcAreMarvel · 02/11/2019 21:05

Apparently baby 22 will be a girl.

sniffingthewax · 02/11/2019 22:49

The gender reveal vlog came up in my suggested videos today so I watched it. The mum's reaction was striking, she was whooping about buying pink clothes and choosing a name, you would think it was her first baby. She definitely lacks the maturity you would expect from a mother of that number of kids, I really couldn't help feeling sorry for her though, there's something vulnerable about her. The dad said maybe a bit next time, he definitely doesn't plan that this is the last baby.

sniffingthewax · 02/11/2019 22:50

A *boy next time.

PegLegAntoine · 02/11/2019 23:26

This thread has turned out brilliantly.

what happened to Tillie? seems like she needs their full attention.... also want to know this.

I used to work for kumon, for my sins
