Sorry to say that NF is far from lovely IRL. He gate crashed a friend’s party a few years ago, acted like a complete arsehole and drew all over her pictures and walls because he was being “wacky”. She was completely unamused and had to sort out all the damage. A proper dickhead.

My vote is for Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal. Genuinely lovely and beloved.

I love Joanna Lumley for her tour de force in Ab Fab, but she's a family friend of Boris Fucking Johnson and was involved in the Garden Bridge fiasco, so I'm conflicted

I'm a bit over Olivia Colman and her 'ooh what, little me?' schtick.

Oh, and I know someone who knows someone (!!) who went out with David Tennant yonks ago and he wasn't very nice.

I met Graham N (years ago and in a room full of people, admittedly) and he was very sweet, warm, naturally funny but a bit overwhelmed that a room full of people had turned out just to see him. I liked him.

I’m with you I can’t stand Dolly Parton - squeaky false midget. Has a book scheme & pretends she wants more kids to read - yet charges for it, so the kids she’s aiming it at can’t actually afford it. I just don’t understand the point of her.
