This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

OP posts:
DidgeDoolittle · 20/10/2019 23:19

I have it on good authority that Matt Baker is not the nice chap he likes to portray.

toemvarrzaw · 20/10/2019 23:20

Paul O'Grady comes across as super down to earth. Plus I love how much he loves dogs!

toemvarrzaw · 20/10/2019 23:21

Also Jennifer Garner.

MitziK · 20/10/2019 23:22

Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols (work related encounter). Absolutely lovely.

VaperCut · 20/10/2019 23:34

David Attenborough (of course!)
Jessica Alba (she seems really sweet)
Richard Armitage (swoon, seems genuinely lovely)
Muhammad Ali (all mouth but heart of gold)
Keanu Reeves (nicest guy in Hollywood they say)
Robin Williams seemed a nice person

BobLobLawLLB · 21/10/2019 00:11

Meatloaf
Lionel Richie
Ed Sheeran, not his music tho

Dolly,Tom Hanks and David Attenborough seen to be in the lead.

Willow2017 · 21/10/2019 00:46

From threads like these on MN, I think Anthony Head deserves his own sub-board, dedicated to his loveliness.
Yes please with lots of photos😁

Patrick Stewart (he shamed the vile James Corben for standing with his hands in his pockets and looking like it was a pia to be vaguely taking the job seriously and everyone should be grateful to be in his presence)
Alan Rickman
Tom Hanks
David Tennant
David Attenborough of course
Dwayne Johnston that thing he did when that teen invited him to her prom and he couldn't go was lovely.
Dolly
Henry Winkler
Gary Sinese
Mark Harmon
David McCallum
Pauley Perette
Scott Bacula

Better stop

Honeyroar · 21/10/2019 00:53

Celebs that I have met that were lovely -
Martin Clunes
Ricky Gervaise
Patrick Stewart
Christine Bleakey (is that the right name, married to footballer?)
Colin Farrell
Sean Bean

Ones that have been listed on here as lovely that weren't -
Adele
Pearce Brosman.
Alan Rickman (was like Snape!)

Ones I'd like to meet. To see if lovely-
Paul O Grady (seems lovely, but was best friends with Cilla, who was awful!)

LEELULUMPKIN · 21/10/2019 02:04

Hugh Jackman

LEELULUMPKIN · 21/10/2019 02:07

All the Queer Eye guys. Especially Johnathan!

minesagin37 · 21/10/2019 02:14

Is it live or dead ones?

There's a number on this thread I hate. Sandy Toksvig - grrr. Holly Willow booby grrr Elton John!!! Er no he's a nightmare.

Tom Hanks is meant to be an all round good guy.

Nicolastuffedone · 21/10/2019 06:10

I love Joanna Lumley! ( and I agree with her!)

Sagradafamiliar · 21/10/2019 07:50

What do you agree with Nicola? That sexually assaulted or raped women get sexually assaulted or raped because they wanted it and regret it afterwards? That's interesting.

Also, I'd have thought David Bowie's teen sex phase would be a bit more frowned upon.

Whitney168 · 21/10/2019 08:44

I am glad no-one has bad-mouthed Graham Norton, I would be distraught.

I am all for Tom Hanks too and the fabulous Martin Clunes.

Whilst we're on the Toms, I know he's controversial and clearly mad as a snake on the whole Scientology front, but I still can't help but love Tom Cruise. Interviews so well, so up for meeting and greeting his fans, I can't help but love him LOL.

I have always loved Louis Theroux too, but am reading his book at the moment and I have to say he does come across as an utter arse.

extrasugarplease · 21/10/2019 09:07

Tom Hanks and Will Smith. I don't know anyone who dislikes them

Artesia · 21/10/2019 09:54

@Whitney168

Afraid I bad mouthed Graham Norton upthread- he was really rude when I met him. Sorry!

Vikandriv · 21/10/2019 10:03

I can't stand Ben Shephard.

StayInYourLaneBoy · 21/10/2019 10:18

I don't see the point of Rylan, everything about him is fake

I'm so glad I'm not the only one not getting the Rylan love. I can't stand him. I just remember my first impressions of his tantrums and complete dramatics. What's nice about a spoiled brat?

ShippingNews · 21/10/2019 10:20

A vote for Martin Clunes.

Uponreflection · 21/10/2019 10:23

Gino d’Acampo is really awful. So sexist and inappropriate.

"🤨David Bowie ... allegedly took the virginity of a 15 year old girl. Had a 3some with her and her friend. Just can't think about him the same "

The youngest he had sexual contact with was 13. It was the norm on the scebe he was on. The same one as Mick Jagger etc. In fact some instances were with Mick. It's put me off 'dancing in the streets'.

InglouriousBasterd · 21/10/2019 10:38

A friend of mine has worked with Hugh Jackman and said he’s an absolute delight - very kind and down to earth.

Definitely Kathy Burke!

Mrsjayy · 21/10/2019 10:41

I am so relieved because I luvs him

ReadyPayerTwo · 21/10/2019 10:43

I've got a 'lovely Fiona Bruce' story!

I was in Westfield a few years ago looking for a pair of white jeans but could only find really tight too-sexy ones. Then I spotted a tall elegant woman wearing a very classic pair and bucked up the courage to approach her.

She said she'd got them in Hobbs, which I'd never sought out there so didn't know where it was. About halfway through her lengthy directions I realised it was Fiona Bruce! So lovely!

Strangely an almost identical thing happened with Rachel Weiss and a leather jacket she was trying on in French Connection a few years previously!!

Samcro · 21/10/2019 10:44

Martin Clunes is lovely
