Kohlrabi - from the nearest Turkish shop. Really cheap, too.
Household stuff - Stardrops when I can get hold of it, it's rarely in the pound shop and nowhere else stocks it round here.
Vim/Ajax - sent DP out to get some and he knew exactly what I meant, can't remember which one he came back with, but scouring powder nonetheless.
Zoflora - but it's not cheap anymore, thanks to certain brand promoters.
Solid soap. Used to be Pears or Wright's Coal Tar, but since they took out the bit that actually did my skin any good, I get Dove and then use Psoriderm bath additive to sort out itchy skin.
Fullsize box detergent, Daz in my case.
Brasso (even if I still call it Duraglit). Brilliant on the sink.
Windowlene pink goop. Smells evil, but at least the inside of window looks clean afterwards, unlike with modern sprays, vinegar or soapy water. Only gets done once a month (mainly because the windowcleaner coming fortnightly means that you can see we don't clean the inside anywhere near as often.
Did get dried Marrowfats (and sprouted them regularly), but they disappeared from local shops a few years ago. DP won't countenance rating the tinned ones, though.
DP gets tinned potatoes occasionally. And tinned ravoli. We draw the line at the disgusting muck that is tinned macaroni cheese.
Pease pudding tins for when I CBA to make the stuff.
Smoked fish in a packet with a frilly pat of butter inside. DP despises the stuff, but gets it for me occasionally. I'd have boil in the bag cod in parsley sauce and frozen peas as well if I could get it nearby, as that was my childhood 'not well but being looked after by Granddad whilst Your Mother goes down the village' food.
Goblin Steak and Kidney Pies.
Marmite and Bovril.
Gold Top Milk. Mainly for DP, as I'm sadly not good with milk anymore, but I sometimes let myself take the hit just for a taste.
Instead of Fisherman's Friends, I get VocalZone pastilles.
I want some hankies (and I would embroider them, haven't done any sewing in years, but wouldn't mind trying again). After all, I use a Mooncup and had two kids in proper old terry nappies, so washing things that desperately need a good wash isn't that much effort in comparison - I'd just stick them in the hot wash with towels.
And - confession time - I've just bought some thermal vests from M&S. I work right in front of an automatic door and I'm freezing my arse off first thing in the morning.
Never mind middleage, we're well on the way to old age with our purchasing choices.
