Not quite. Vardy is now 32 and approaching the end of his footballing life. A Leicester City legend perhaps but in no way an England legend. Rooney's playing career is virtually over but he'll begin his managerial career in January as England's record scorer. He's likely to be a good manager too, given that he can always call on Sir Alex for advice.

I suspect Rebekah is scared to death of being no longer relevant.
