Maybe it would be better to start a discussion on what she is saying rather than just call her vile?

What do you find vile about her OP? That she wants to support the police, or target drug dealers or make UK a safer place to live?
I know this question wasn't for me, but I'd like to answer: her support for the death penalty (and subsequent attempts to row back/claim misrepresentation); her illegal actions in the Israel meetings affair; her use of an appeal to emotion with terms like 'evil' and 'terror' in relation to the drugs trade and prisoners.

Funny how it's ok to start a thread calling some people vile but other threads are deleted. Presumably she's fair game because she's a politician.

Sorry about cross title. I find the way she talked about freedom of movement with that particular set of facial expressions particularly distasteful. And the north London elite comments coming from Tories are particularly disingenuous and playing to the lowest common denominator. And a party
that massively reduced police numbers taking credit for fighting crime is beyond belief.

The Tory Party caused the county lines problem. Nine years of austerity, cuts to youth services, massive increases in low paid zero hours contracts, and 20,000 less police officers. As for Patel, I know people that have worked with her. She takes praise for other people's work and will climb on anyone to get what she wants to be. So much for 'sisterhood'!

This government is becoming increasingly right wing. When they announced major infrastructure projects earlier this week it just confirmed the way things are going to me. Patel is awful.

She voted against same sex marriage in England and Wales, and abstained on the vote for NI, and against a ban on detaining pregnant women in detention centres.

In her latest speech she deliberately used the phrase "north London metropolitan liberal elite" - which as her speechwriters at least will be well aware, is frequently used as a euphemism for Jews. She may not appreciate it but whoever wrote it absolutely did.

She bleats on about how she dragged herself up by her boot laces but then doesn't let others benefit by pulling up the drawbridge behind her.

To quote Gary Lineker-who has, to my bewilderment- someone who speaks for me in public life “Cheering to end freedom of movement of people from our country to live, work, study elsewhere in Europe. Bewildering.”
