Not a vegan or even a veggie but loving all the vegan and plant based foods available. Had the beyond burger last night and loved it. What’s your favourite finds?

Aldi has lovely vegan spicy cauliflower sausages and sausage rolls.

ExecutiveFiat · 27/09/2019 18:34

Tried the sausage rolls and found them a bit bland tbh. Love the Greggs ones though😬

M&S plant kitchen coleslaw and potato salad both are absolutely fab, their dirty fries are lush too :)

I've just discovered how good - and cheap - Asda is for vegan stuff. Fave things at the moment:
Asda vegan cupcakes (2 for £1.50)
Asda vegan flatbread
Alpro dark chocolate desserts (4 for £1 at Asda)
Mini moo bunnycomb (69p at Asda, £1 at Sainsbury's)

Deathraystare · 27/09/2019 19:38

(Whispering) Gregg's vegan sausage roll - Lush! Shhhhh!

Deathraystare · 27/09/2019 19:39

Potatoes

Daffodil2018 · 27/09/2019 19:50

Ombar raspberry and chocolate bar is amazing. The best tasting chocolate ever, vegan or not. It is ruinously expensive though.

ExecutiveFiat · 27/09/2019 19:53

Oooh this is fab😀 Asda is indeed great for vegan food. Loving plant kitchen coleslaw atm. Loads of great suggestions here.

Sainsburys shroom dogs, Morrisons vegan pasty is pretty good, and hellmans vegan mayo is better than regular mayo

HermioneWeasley · 27/09/2019 19:57

Morrisons mushroom bao buns

MrsPnut · 27/09/2019 20:05

Vivera shawarma kebab is great with some salad, chilli sauce and a pita bread.

Fridakahlofan · 27/09/2019 20:08

Strawberries :)

Greybeardy · 27/09/2019 20:09

Dates with almond butter are lush.

pourmeanotherglass · 27/09/2019 20:10

Im not keen on fake meat, and prefer to make stuff with actual veg and lentils or beans.
Aldi Mediterranean flatbread is really nice with curry ( naan isnt vegan).
I was happy to realise that most dried pasta is vegan, but haven't found any nice vegan noodles yet.
Most of Sainsbury veggie burgers are vegan and are quite nice. Their vegan greek- style 'Cheese' is nice on salad.
If you can't be bothered to cook quinoa for packed lunches, those pre cooked packets by merchant gourmet etc are quite good. One packet does 2-3 days if you mix it with roasted butternut, fake feta, pine nuts, salad veg, olives, etc.

GeoffreyAndBungle · 27/09/2019 20:14

Another vote for those Aldi spiced cauliflower sausages, really nice!

pourmeanotherglass · 27/09/2019 20:14

Alpro yoghurt are quite nice too. Also some brands of sorbet are vegan.

Thrupennybrit · 27/09/2019 20:23

Waitrose Vegan Creamy Onion & Chive Rolls
Morrisons V Taste paella and chilli non carne

theneverendinglaundry · 27/09/2019 20:27

The m&s plant kitchen dirty fries are lush.

SwizzelStick · 27/09/2019 20:59

You can get vegan naan. Morrisons have this brand, groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/product/The-Clay-Oven-Bakery-Garlic-And-Coriander-Naan-Bread/341979011, also in plain, and some other longlife naans are vegan too, I've found some in Home Bargains.

underneaththeash · 27/09/2019 21:42

Why? They are full of absolute shite! Read the ingredients, eat an apple / bit of cheese/chicken.

CallMeOnMyCell · 27/09/2019 21:51

Because vegans don’t want to eat cheese or chicken Hmm

ryanreynolds · 27/09/2019 22:00

@Ricekrispie22 where do you the applewood smoked cheese from?! I'm not vegan but allergic to dairy and eggs so eat a lot of vegan food and I really miss smoked cheese - this sounds amazing!
