What small things in life make you happy?

.. just that really. Last night i had a cheap bottle of wine and indulged in crappy telly for the eve and i were happy as a clam. What little things do you do, or buy yourself as a treat, for a cheeky burst of happy?

My son, my cat, reading a good book and my DP when he's not grumpy. Days out kicking leaves and being silly, playing in the park and splashing in puddles then hot drinks and cakes in a lovely café.

Getting into bed to clean sheets, in clean pyjamas after a bath.

A quiet house., cup of tea and a good book.

When I'm in the car listening to music and someone walks by, unbeknowingly to the beat of the music 😁

Hearing these are lovely and giving me ideas I want to try now

Currently in bed reading these now. Hearing everyone's happy things are making me smile :)

Reading this has made me realise I can't remember. I need to get a grip😞 and maybe try some of these things.

I love this thread, such a good reminder about the simple things....

Being by the sea, in any weather
Curled up inside with a book and a blanket whilst it's raining outside
Our cats doing crazy things
My husband making me laugh
A good cup of tea or fresh coffee on a weekend morning
When the right song comes on at the right time
That first taste of a glass of crisp white wine at the end of a hot week

My DDs
The first coffee of the day when it’s just me and the cat awake
Clean bedding
My cat snuggling in bed with me
And I’ll report back on the cakes that DD got me today because she wanted to treat me

Morning coffee, when dd 3 gives me a cuddle without me asking, nice meal, getting a bargain :)

The smell of fabric conditioner on washing
The smell of other people's washing
A new dressing gown
Washing blowing on the line in summer
Tiger bread with proper butter
Cheese toasties on a cold day, bonus if someone else cleans the toastie maker
Walking the dogs on a crisp morning
Steamed up windows in winter
Snow while driving
Large glass of wine in a thin rim glass
A dispensed Fanta
Growing veg
Someone else making dinner
The joy on my spaniels face when I pick up a tennis ball
Watching my dog catch a ball
Buying a new candle

Sitting down catching up on The Durrells with my 3 month old napping on me and the dogs either side. Or lying in bed with my 5 year old while she falls asleep.

I went for a lovely run up to Parliament Hill earlier, it was just lovely

Reading a good book with a cup of tea just the way I like it

Oh and those morning smiles when your baby first wakes up and see's you.

Taking my "hold you in" tights off and sitting on my sofa, after a 14 hour day at work.
