Here's a little reminder to get ya through the day!
Please remember to take your meds today!
And remember to drink water!
And, if you can, try to eat something!
Your health is very important, and you have to take care of yourself.
And also, please remember to find some balance today.
If you're doing too much, rest. Advocate for yourself. Get the rest you deserve.
If you HAVE to do stuff, at least make sure you're listening to your own limits.
Your limitations are not the same as the person next to you.
You have to listen to yourself
And take care of yourself.
For yourself.
And for me.
I'm so proud of you for getting this far.

Happy Friday everybody!

Thank you!
Please look after yourself as well

lovemenorca · 20/09/2019 18:13

I'm so proud of you for getting this far.

You don’t know me. You have no place being “proud” of me.

BIWI · 20/09/2019 18:13

It'll be tickers next, I tell ya Grin

writersbeenblocked · 20/09/2019 18:13

Ignore all the confused people OP, this a lovely thing to do, and you never know, it might help someone get through their day Smile

iklboo · 20/09/2019 18:17

I know what you mean Socks. Back atcha.

S0CKS · 20/09/2019 18:17

I'm sorry you don't like it - and ill be sure not to be proud of you. However I am proud of anybody (who like me) battles day to day with mental health and manages to make it through a day.

lovemenorca · 20/09/2019 18:20

Drip. Drip.

Itallt0omuch · 20/09/2019 18:20

God what fucking awful responses. If you don't like it, scroll on past.

iklboo · 20/09/2019 18:21

No drip. Socks has posted a lot about their struggles. If you don't like it you don't have to post a snide comment.

ConcreteUnderpants · 20/09/2019 18:21

I now feel even more shit than I did before.
There is a time and a place for happy positivity. This is not it.

lovemenorca · 20/09/2019 18:21

It is a drip. No mention whatsoever in this thread.

S0CKS · 20/09/2019 18:25

Im a what? A drip? What on earth is that?

OP posts:
iklboo · 20/09/2019 18:27

Well the OP isn't going to put their life story on every opening post. Just leave the thread if you don't like it.

youarenotkiddingme · 20/09/2019 18:27

Even a nice thread with a nice message gets negative remarks here today it seems.

I think it's a great message. Something I've learnt in the past few years.

Something I wish someone had forced upon me 4 years ago when I didn't look after myself and crashed when trying to care for my ill child alone (he had MH issues and problems with his school).

The turnaround was things like people pointing out housework would always be there. Even if I did it when unfit there would be more tomorrow!

Thanks for sharing

Ohdeargodwot · 20/09/2019 18:29

I needed this today actually.

DaphneFanshaw · 20/09/2019 18:31

I th8nk they meant a drip feeed .
Tbh I thought it was a bit twee until I saw you update about people with mental health issues making it through the day and then I got where you were coming from.

DaphneFanshaw · 20/09/2019 18:34

I am struggling a bit with anxiety, not as badly as I have before and I don’t feel like I need medication at the moment.
I am sure it will pass, it usually does.

Right now I am happy to have made it though another week.
I get it Op.
Wine

averylongtimeago · 20/09/2019 18:36

Socks, don't be put off. For those that need it, that's a good and helpful post.

picklemepopcorn · 20/09/2019 18:39

For those who get where OP is coming from, can I recommend the Elisi app? It reminds you to do whatever habits you have programmed in. For me, it's physio exercises, practice the harp, swimming and intermittent fasting. They are my looking after myself and finding a balance actions.
I remember my meds, and I drink like a fish so don't need the same reminders as OP.

Her message is still valid though.

picklemepopcorn · 20/09/2019 18:39

And actually, yes, thank you socks.
