Things you get obsessed with on YouTube

The other day I watched 'The Impossible', the film about the 2004 tsunami. I've seen it before but for some reason it caught my attention again.

One thing lead to another and I ended up watching videos of the 2011 Japan tsunami. At the time I had no TV or Internet so had no idea of the scale of the problem, it was just something I heard on the radio.

I can't stop watching these videos now Sad

I forgot about the dog grooming ones and the chiropractor ones. I went through a massive phase of obsession with YouTube.

I have two very very very untidy daughters (late teens and 20). Why oh why did I spend hours watching a similar aged girl doing tours of her very tidy bedroom, back to college stationery, and Christmas and birthday presents. She was completely opposite of my children, and I think I felt wistful (She did homework on Christmas Day!).

I’ve never seen any of her videos since, but I definitely didn’t dream her. She was mad on Harry Potter IIRC.

Mudlarks on the Thames, so si-finds, tideline art (Nicola White) the london mudlark. Metal detectorists and treasure hunters like chill bill and aquachigger. Sometimes I like sporn, sometimes the english heritage videos (mrs Crocombe is the very best) and sometimes I watch time team specials 😁

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 12/09/2019 21:35

@Heaviestdirtyestsoul Mrs Crocombe is fantastic! I love the setting and the detailed recipes (sherry in everything Grin)

I also like a Polish lady who dresses in vintage style and has a good working knowledge of historical fashion. Her name escapes me but she’s funny and informative and dresses beautifully
