Am I the only one who loathes Strictly?

My mum loves it as does DP so they've ganged up on me. I loathe it.

Loathes is a strong word. Why so?

I'm no fan myself, but in a far more calm way. I watched a couple of series with DP a few years ago, but now only glance up if it's someone doing something spectacular (or Claudia is being funny). Same for GBBO (Sandi or Sue of course). It's all pablum TV and does what it sets out to do, but it's not loathesome.

Never watched it, got no interest in it at all.

YANBU. Hate all the so-called talent/celeb/reality shows. The only dancing I like to watch is ballet. I also loathe musicals. And most TV, tbh.

Last year I tried last year to watch it for a while and when they got paired up each celebrity cheered like they’d won the lottery. I had to switch over. I thought I was missing something, I confirmed I wasn’t!!

Boring as fuck.

Watched about half an hour about 5 years ago. Not interesting, not interested. I quite liked Celeb Pop Idol 400 years ago when Ade Edmondson battles through with laryngitis, but that was more to do with Ade Edmondson and my unrequited teenage crush.

The music is terrible, the celebrities aren’t celebrities, Tess Daly makes my foot twitch, it’s too loud and it goes on waaayyyyy too long. It should be one hour max on a Saturday teatime and for no more than 6 weeks.

Hate it. If you are gonna watch a dancing show watch proper dancers not rubbish z-listers that get marginally better. Don’t get it. And t

I loved watching “so you think you can dance” when it was on. At least they were decent dancers and there was a bit of variety in the styles of dancing.

I hate it, I had to go to one of the shows a few seasons ago, you have to sit there for hours and hours, it’s really boring.

How could anyone hate Strictly? It is a-maz-ing.
You don't have to watch if you don't like it, go and do something else.

But I'd much rather sit on my comfy sofa getting quietly pissed and sulking!

I think it's absolute rubbish. The worst kind of car crash "celebrity" nonsense.
The rest of my family loves it of course.

Not interested in it. I liked Dancing on Ice though as I used to figure skate.

You're allowed to hate it. Just don't watch it.

It's one of those shows it's 'in' to like, and look down on people who don't.

They all seem to be a very strange shade of orange this year, is the spray tan sponsored by Cuprinol this season?

I don't mind it once the series gets underway, and the weakest contestants have been eliminated. I don't watch the opening episodes though, as I find the endless introductions tedious and loathe the fake tension while the celebs wait to see who they've been paired up with, then try to feign surprise when it's revealed (like they haven't already been practising together for weeks).

Also, I'm not keen on the singers in the BBC band - the woman's voice in particular. Thank goodness for the mute button!

So, while I don't exactly loathe it, there are some things about it that grate. I usually get drawn into it in the latter stages though, as the dancing improves.

I'd definitely watch Curmudgeons On Ice!

Never watched not that bake off programme or any offer similar crap.

I don't watch much programming on my TV at all these days. I stream much of my stuff. But I hate strictly, gbbo, all that, it bores me.
