Catbot that's a fabulous household. A pensioner with a potentially lethal cigarette lighter, his 43 year old surgically enhanced partner who just happened to be wearing her bikini, and a 22 year old lodger who I should imagine is adept at creeping across the landing.

And those pictures on the wall !! Is that a painting of the older guy next to his white van? And the dogs!

Best sad face story in our local paper was a school mum who's erm rather spirited child ran away from school every day. Every day the head teacher and others would have to run after him. One day they lost him for a few minutes and the police came to catch him. Sad story of how negligent the school were in the papers next day. The best bit? The boy's name was Chase Grin.

There’s usually one this time of year where a child turns up at school with a mad haircut of weird colours/swear words cut into the back and they get sent home or put in the sin bin.

Usually mum has equally outlandish hair ‘but he wanted a pink and green Mohican over the summer, and I thought it would have grown out! It costs me a fortune - £12 at Crazy Mikes Chop Shop!’

The best local news story I've seen for ages: www.devonlive.com/news/uk-world-news/northern-couple-spend-night-stopping-3230250
Not only does it have distraught sad faces and the peril of the poor puppy, but the crowning glory is that it's all taking place in Hull, but being reported as local news for Devon.

by the by - she should have saucers of beer - that attracts the little blighters & they die happy - I would check the wall outside & see if they have a leak under their sink. Listen mate remove the kick board underneath the cupboards & check for water leak

@LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD
Usually with folded arms and an angry expression with a sad faced kid beside them.

Saxa salt? I hear supermarket own brand salt is just as lethal at half the price.

S1naidSucks · 03/09/2019 21:22

I’m more worried about the pup being poisoned by the bloody salt!

BringOnTheScience · 03/09/2019 23:24

The escaped snake was the top story for aaaaages!!! Most exciting thing by miles.

@Gingerkittykat Snorting with laughter? Really? Would you like to have your face grabbed and squeezed by a police officer and screamed at for no reason? That's assault... Hmm

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 04/09/2019 03:58

Is that mini cheddar thing true or a spoof? It's brilliant!

However if true I am not sure why the woman had focused so much on the loss of a popular cheese based snack more than the fact she was grabbed unnecessarily violently by a copper. I think that'd bother me more. And I LOVE mini cheddars.
