I'm in bits here at both of those news stories.
They look like the walk would have done them good. I love the response from the taxi firm, it makes the story even funnier.
" is that a bag of Brown?" ....."mini cheddars, mini cheddars " 😂
" I don't think asda sell expensive ice cream, I will refund them myself " 😂
I can just see them both stood in the kitchen wailing " me ice creeeeam, it's melteeeeed, quick, phone the paper's" 😂😂

twinnywinny14 · 02/09/2019 05:30

ASDA is only at the end of their road apparently could’ve walked home quicker than waiting for the Taxo

HotChocolateLover · 02/09/2019 05:41

MN is like living in the twilight zone. There are people posting here who have £20 to buy food for a month and you all rally around from your million pound houses like the saints you are yet someone actually loses food they’ve paid for and all you can do is point and laugh. Maybe that’s all the money they had for the week? Would you laugh so hard at someone having a heart attack in the street? You all sound rather nasty.

sashh · 02/09/2019 05:54

I know this is evil, but the first pic - they look like brother and sister.

Yet they can afford a taxi for what is effectively a five minute walk @HotChocolateLover.
I don't live in a 2 million pound house, do you?

Are you the woman in the pic?

PinkP65 · 02/09/2019 06:04

Nah....

After seeing them...

I bet they ate the ice cream.

Totally adorable baby!!!!!!

UrsulaPandress · 02/09/2019 06:13

Couldn't they just refreeze the ice cream?

EmmaGrundyForPM · 02/09/2019 06:15

Why is there Kent news on a Cambridgeshire news site?

@BikeRunSki. the Cambridge News rarely has any local news. It is dire and just copies stories from other local papers elsewhere in the country.

I had this pop up on my FB feed yesterday and thought it had to be a piss take.

Mummyoflittledragon · 02/09/2019 06:17

If they genuinely live 5 mins walk away, I would have thought they’d buy less and walk. Unless disabled. Sounds to me like they need a decent shopping trolley and some cool bags / packs.

Mummyoflittledragon · 02/09/2019 06:18

Posted too soon. If they live so close, a taxi driver isn’t going to want to come out especially on a bank holiday for a £3 taxi fare.

HotChocolateLover · 02/09/2019 06:49

@GetOffMyBongos No i’m Not the woman in the picture and no to the £2 million house. However, I think you lot are being spiteful and cruel.

GetOffMyBongos · 02/09/2019 07:16

@UrsulaPandress
Yes, they could refreeze the ice cream......if they wanted rock hard ice cream with a potential to give you food poisoning.

Still snorting at "mini cheddars, mini cheddars " 😂

BaronessBomburst · 02/09/2019 07:38

If it was all the noney they had for food that week they wouldn't have been buying ice-cream or using a taxi.

BloggersBlog · 02/09/2019 07:44

Hotchocolatelover when I'm in that position of very little money for food, I'm buying huge bags of pasta and potatoes to last, not flipping ice cream and getting taxis. Get real love

MeggyMeg · 02/09/2019 07:50

Grin at taxi firms response.

As for the deluded PP, ice cream is hardly an essential item. I think they'll manage without it. Looks to me as though they don't need it anyway.

HotChocolateLover · 02/09/2019 08:01

@BloggersBlog I’ll post what I like ‘Love’ I just don’t feel the need to sneer at others.

PancakeAndKeith · 02/09/2019 08:03

While I agree that commenting on their weight and appearance is really not on I fail to believe that this was their last £20.
I’m alright for money but it never occurs to me to get a taxi because it’s too damn expensive.

At no point do either of them say that they are unable to walk the short distance home due to a disability etc.
So why didn’t one of them taken the frozen stuff home? I’m guessing the baby was in a pushchair so they could have just chucked it in there.

Erismorn · 02/09/2019 08:12

Kent Live (original paper to publish story) is the pits. Cambridge News must be desperate if that's where they are lifting stories from.

The taxi pick up point at the Folkestone Asda is right outside the front door. No reason at all why one of them, the baby and the shopping couldn't have waited inside in the air conditioning while one waited outside for the taxi. Or stuffed the frozen food in the pushchair and done the very short walk home, leaving the other to get the taxi with the remaining shop.

Erismorn · 02/09/2019 08:16

PancakeAndKeith or used Bouverie West Sainsbury's and offset any difference in price with the BH taxi fare.

crazycatgal · 02/09/2019 21:09

Isn't that ice cream inside plastic tubs? If so how would it ruin the rest of the shopping?

Durgasarrow · 03/09/2019 05:55

Love Madame's outfit.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/09/2019 08:09

40 and 43. I think they must have forgotten the decades they’ve slept

MeggyMeg · 03/09/2019 14:02

Oh come off it! I can't be the only who sees a picture of two morbidly obese people whining about their icecream meltibf and thinks maybe its not such a bad thing Wink

I am clearly an evil person.i forget what virtous goody goodies some of you are. Grin

IsadoraQuagmire · 03/09/2019 14:31

I agree with pp, the baby is cute (gorgeous red hair) but the poor child looks thoroughly disgusted at being dragged into this "news" story Grin
