I'm up because my LL knocked at 8:30am despite having agreed to 11am Hmm. This is the second time in two days he has ignored the time agreed & I am mightily pissed off about it.

The girls are sock on & will be for a while I imagine; we had a very late night watching films & eating sweets.

I might take advantage of the peace & either get out in the front garden for an hour or two again, or do some of the prep for next term at Guides. I'm not sure yet which I'll do, maybe another coffee will help me decide Grin

What about you lot? What are you up to? :)

I am.spending my second day lying flat on my back with a trapped nerve in my neck. I cant love my head/neck at all and I have lost count of the times I have dropped my phone of my face!

Morgan12 · 31/08/2019 09:48

Been up since 5 with DS who is now napping. Other DS is playing his xbox.

No plans for today. Its miserable here!

onemorecakeplease · 31/08/2019 09:49

we are snuggled up in bed in our motorhome waiting for the rain to stop so we can go to the safari park.

It's ds birthday and he has opened all his presents and is playing with his new iPad

We had chocolate cake for breakfast!

IAmBannedAgainTheBastards · 31/08/2019 09:50

I'm still in bed which is unusual. Got a big day later so I'm not getting up until I have to.

BertrandRussell · 31/08/2019 09:50

Going with ds to collect his first car. :)

Fizzypoo · 31/08/2019 09:53

In bed drinking coffee watching dp put shelves up Grin

I'm going to get up in a bit, have a shower and potter around for the weekend. It's our first weekend at home with no plans in a long time. I live pottering weekends!

Whoseagooddoggiethen · 31/08/2019 09:53

I have twin boys and for once they are doing the same thibg today - dog training with our two dogs this morning followed by a walk, swimming at 2-3 and both at same birthday party at 5 so i can get the shopping done. They can go to their rooms and play fortnite later and leave me in peace with wine and my book when they get home!

Squaretoe · 31/08/2019 09:54

DH is going to an event with my stepdad, I'm at soft play with the DDs. It's a nice clean one, slightly out of the way so it's usually not too packed. Wondering how long I can get away with staying here... all day maybe? Blush

wendz86 · 31/08/2019 09:56

At my parents this morning . Got a charity tea and cake event this afternoon then need to try and get to Clark’s to pick up dd1’s school shoes .

Chocolatecake12 · 31/08/2019 09:56

I am sitting in the garden with a cuppa contemplating what to do today. I might stay here for a while......

NaomiFromMilkShake · 31/08/2019 09:58

I have been awake since 7.30 (thanks teen DS)

I have put a wash on and put the groceries away and taken a shake back to bed (banana, peanut butter, natural yoghurt and unsweetened almond milk.)

DH will deliver a coffee in the next hour, I will scoff the remaining two champagne truffles with the coffee . I may have hidden them from the gannets I share this house with. Grin

Try and have a snooze then off to see the 1sts play away in a pre season friendly this afternoon.

Right on cue, DH has just offered coffee...

Shaping up to be a good day. Grin

Fizzypoo · 31/08/2019 10:09

@Needschoolhelp a movie day is a lovely day. It's a Saturday morning, I'm assuming there's no need for you to get up and get out and if you need a family film day then do it. Taking care of yourself and not doing a lot if that's what you need to do is totally fine.

I've been really upset for the past few days and spent most of that time led down watching Netflix drinking sugary tea. When I forced myself to adult I fell apart. I now feel loads better after my Netflix days and after this last coffee I'm going to jump in the shower, put the radio on and start my pottering (tip run, weeding, tidy my desk up ect). I couldn't have done that yesterday or the day before. Take your self care day or two (wanky words) and don't feel bad or guilty.

Whitelisbon · 31/08/2019 10:11

We've been up since 6, so I've done 3 loads of washing so far, and the school uniform is all ironed.
Need to go round to the garage, pay for my car repairs, and ask them nicely to bring it home for me, as all the car seats are in the kitchen, and dh is at work, so I have to take dc with me.
Two of the dc have a soft play party this afternoon, which will be hell, as it's miserable here, dd1 is looking after dd3 for cold hard cash me, and ds1 is going to my sister's house for the duration, which is in the opposite direction to the party.
And I'm still sitting here in my jammies, drinking coffee. Need someone to give me a kick!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 31/08/2019 10:11

Working at a food festival 😴

ShatnersWig · 31/08/2019 10:11

Working

Thecatisboss · 31/08/2019 10:14

Just back from park run which is a good way for me to wake up on a Saturday (especially after going out last night and drinking prosecco which didn't help my time).

Mac47 · 31/08/2019 10:15

When I get up, I have to start the mountain of paperwork ready for back to school on Monday.
I was going to do it yesterday but accidentally watched 6 hours of Say yes to the dress instead...

TotheletterofthelawTHELETTER · 31/08/2019 10:15

Still in bed now. DD watching old 1D videos on YouTube and saying how much she misses them 😂

Not sure on our plans. Library probably then shopping for DD’s bedroom, we’ve just redecorated it. I’ve had quite bad anxiety lately and I’ve decided to give up caffeine so I’m hoping to buy some decent decaf when we’Re out.

I've put washing on, loaded dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen. DP and DS are going out soon to have lunch at a place I hate.

When they go I'm going to do really exciting stuff like mop the floors and clean the bins, might even push the boat out and Hoover the stairs.

Then again, I might sit in the garden with endless cups of tea and play games Grin

lucysmam · 31/08/2019 10:17

@Needschoolhelp a movie day's fine. Sometimes you need to stop and look after yourself & re-group. (You don't always have to smile for the dc either, it's ok for them to see you're upset.)

@Whitelisbon I had forgotten about ironing the uniforms - maybe I should do that today!

Getting ready to go back to work and school next week.

I've had 2 weeks off (childminder) so need to kiddify the house again, prep food and activities. Dd is back to school on Tuesday so need to get organized there too.
