Can I show off and be shameless here? I can't in real life

I have had a very tough time recently, dh has had a nervous breakdown, my dad who has always been abusive hit a new low and we're NC. My mum emigrated and it's just been so hard.
But ds got 11 level 9s and and A** in further maths yesterday and I am so so proud. He is severely dyspraxic and had oral dyspeptia which went undiagnosed until he was 4 which severely affected his speech. I was told he had SEN and he was put in a special group, I knew he was frustrated and moved his school then home schooled. He went to the local comp for secondary, it was on special
Measures, he was bullied but here we are.
I am so proud of my boy. I could burst.
As a working class northerner I will be ostracised for rl showing off, so can I be shameless here?
Sorry to anyone I annoy, I just need an outlet! Mn has helped me so much over the years with ds, dh and just life. Thank you all so much SmileSmileSmile

Wonderful!

Why oh why is achievement not seen as something to be proud of in the UK? It’s an attitude I’ll never understand. Congratulations to your amazing son, and to you for being such a lovely, caring and supportive mum 💐

Wow, congratulations DS.

He’s done amazingly and you have every right to be bursting with pride.

His hard work got the grades but your parenting got him to that point so you should be proud of yourself too.

I hope you all enjoy the treats and rewards, you deserve it. Flowers
