What do you drink that's not hot or alcoholic?

I'm trying to lose weight, so cutting back on fizzy drinks, but dislike plain water (hard water area and am trying to cut back on plastics so bottled is something I'd like to avoid).

I do drink tea and coffee in the mornings, but prefer cold drinks in the afternoon.

So, what can I drink that isn't plain water or full of artificial sweeteners?

What do you drink

I keep a big jug of lime cordial in the fridge and refill a sports bottle with it. I just have a swig when I fancy

If you use tap water, the chlorine smell goes after a while in the fridge

Sorry, just plain old water for me!
Our fridge is plumbed in and we have a water softener thing fitted somewhere in the house so the water is always icy cold.
I don’t like fizzy drinks or squash etc so just drink water.

Soda water and lime ( I have a Soda Stream too)
Not ice cold though , not good for the guts.

My sister has a water distiller that she swears by I actually find the water from it tastes to plain for me but she loves it.

I keep a big bottle of water with a splash of lime cordial in it in the fridge and just have that with ice. Tastes better than it sounds

Diet Coke, diet lemonade, no added sugar squash, don't drink much alcohol though I do drink a lot of tea and coffee.

Water, sparkling water with lemon and lime slices, cold peach tea home made. Love Seedlip but cant justify the price. I'd drink the whole bottle.

SeaSaltandLime · 21/08/2019 09:22

Grenadine and lemonade is also a really tasty, non alcoholic drink.

Very sweet though.

Low calorie or diet tonic water. Preferably flavoured (lemon or lime), but will drink it straight and add my own slice of lemon or lime.

60minutemakeunder · 21/08/2019 13:02

Another soda stream fan here. I love plain sparkling water with loads of ice. Sometimes add a lemon or lime wedge.

soulrunner · 21/08/2019 13:03

Fever tree aromatic tonic has been my main soft drink this summer. I’ve always got plenty of Bottle Green cordials as well. Plump summer raspberry is delicious

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 21/08/2019 13:52

Fizzy water with ice and lemon. Fizzy water with nice cordials (Belvoir lime and lemongrass is gorgeous). Fentimans pink grapefruit tonic water.

I have to say that I do drink full sugar drinks, even though I am calorie counting and trying to lose weight. I would rather have actual sugar in my drinks than sweeteners - I loathe the taste of the sweeteners - and so I don't have the cordials or tonic water every day, but do enjoy the full sugar versions when I do have them - if that makes any sense at all.

Milk, kefir (which is great for weight loss), vegetable juices, iced tea/coffee, stick some fruit/cucumber/mint in filtered water overnight to flavour it.
