Does anyone else hate the wind?

I know it's pointless disliking weather and I try not to , rain keeps our countryside green and beautiful etc etc but. I. Hate. The. Wind. It's blowing a gale (which is drying the laundry i'll grant it that) and it's making it a nightmare to be outside and I really hate the sound of howling wind.

Wind makes me really angry. I don’t mind any other sort of weather but even a dry, sunny day that is windy will piss me right off. I want to punch the wind.

Does that answer your question? Grin

PointlessUsername · 18/08/2019 16:04

Not me. I Love it.

Autumn and winter are my favourite times of the year. So a windy & wet day is great.

EvenPhilip · 18/08/2019 16:05

I get bad headaches and crappy tempered with windy weather.

HouseworkAvoider10 · 18/08/2019 16:06

Yeah I hate it.
It puts me in a bad mood.

DirtyToiletBrush · 18/08/2019 16:08

I love it too. I’m curled up in the box room watching the trees swaying outside. I think it’s lovely but each to their own.

ShutTheFridgeUp · 18/08/2019 16:08

I HATE the wind. It makes me really fucking grumpy. Makes my hair blow in my face despite many clips, makes me ears hurt, makes my eyes water. I HATE it.

ssd · 18/08/2019 16:14

I love the wind. Really love it.

TonTonMacoute · 18/08/2019 16:36

I really hate it too. I live rurally and it causes so much disruption and damage. We regularly get roads blocked from fallen trees and power cuts because lines are down, and it completely buggers up our tv reception.

Ronsters · 18/08/2019 16:59

I'm sick of the wind, I live in a fairly high up area, and it really blasts through the garden at times. It's blown loads of my plants over this year and given them a real battering.

Yes, it's wrecking my flowers too.

Interesting to see that it is such a controversial weather pattern.

I hate it too
Ruins a warm day when you try to sit outside and you get chewed to bits
Makes the Caravan roof squeak ... annoying
Makes driving difficult

DarlingNikita · 18/08/2019 17:50

It makes me feel agitated and upset. In Ayurvedic theory people are different constitutional types and some like of don’t mind the wind, whereas the type I fit most closely doesn’t like it, for exactly those reasons. I do think there’s a grain of truth in it.

dudsville · 18/08/2019 17:53

High winds actually make me laugh if I'm out in it being buffeted about. What ayurvedic type is that Darling?

userabcname · 18/08/2019 17:55

My 2yo hates it! Took him for a walk earlier on a rather blustery common and he spent the whole time shouting "go away wind!!!"

ShivD · 18/08/2019 17:56

I HATE it.

What dosha is it?!?! Off to google to see if it ties up with my previous Ayurvedic result...

Newearringsplease · 18/08/2019 17:56

It gives me a headache

AnduinsGirl · 18/08/2019 17:57

Fucking hate it. I have curly hair which rarely looks neat and tidy - when I've already been blown to hell before I even get into work, I'm seriously grumpy knowing I'll have to spend the rest of the day looking like Russell Brand.

ShivD · 18/08/2019 17:57

Ah ha, so Vata’s aren’t supposed to be great with the wind. I always come out strongly Vata.

GroggyLegs · 18/08/2019 17:58

We've just arrived on our camping holiday in Wales.
We're going home. Not even joking sadly.

Creatureofthenight · 18/08/2019 17:58

I wouldn’t say I hate it, but if I’m out walking in high winds I get earache.

AuntieMarys · 18/08/2019 18:00

It makes me quite distressed

Outsomnia · 18/08/2019 18:00

Doesn't bother me much, apart from the fact that I worry the fences will blow down or the shed roof will take off!

That happened during a previous storm. Wasn't very nice, but at least no one was injured.

Shplot · 18/08/2019 18:01

I love it when I’m inside and hate it when I’m outside Grin

DarlingNikita · 18/08/2019 18:02

Yes, as shiv says, it’s vata.

Yogagirl123 · 18/08/2019 18:03

I have always lived on the coast, so used to windy weather.
