Washing line... trousers... Which way up?

So, in our house, there's a constant battle.

I hang trousers are n the line by their ankles.... DH by the waistband....

Now clearly only one if us is correct.... Bit who?

Inside out and from the ankles.

Have learned over the years that it dries better and quicker.

Waist

I hang them with the waist part towards the sun
folded over the line at the thighs

By the waist, into the wind.

However, when space has been limited I have been known to hang by the ankle with one peg but i don't like it.

Never had a problem with damp waistbands.

Ankles but remember ds looking at me when she saw me doing it. She also wondered why I turn trousers everything inside out to hang it out ( I'm not sure either!!)
