So, in our house, there's a constant battle.

I hang trousers are n the line by their ankles.... DH by the waistband....

Now clearly only one if us is correct.... Bit who?

Ankle's in our house

DropZoneOne · 17/08/2019 13:59

Tops from the bottom, bottoms from the top.

^^

To reduce visible peg marks. DH has been told this countless times but still doesn't get it.

Waistband.. more because I had a daft greyhound for years that ran or jumped head first into the crotch of low hanging trousers Grin.

If anyone notices peg marks on your arse they’re the problem.

keepingbees · 17/08/2019 14:41

Ankles. Whenever I've pegged at the the waistband it's always still damp underneath as it's the thickest part. They also dry straighter that way too.

AwesomePossums · 17/08/2019 14:41

Waistband.

Disfordarkchocolate · 17/08/2019 14:43

On a trouser hanger that clips on the hem, it keeps the crease in place

MmmBlowholes · 17/08/2019 14:49

Ankles! I told my mum I did it like this and she thought I was a twat. The waistband won't dry as quickly if you're pegging the trousers by it! Plus it saves loads of space.

Herefortheduration · 17/08/2019 15:06

Bottoms by their tops, Tops by their bottoms

Absolutely correct!

Bloodybridget · 17/08/2019 15:09

Ankles. For reasons of drying mentioned above.

Disfordarkchocolate · 17/08/2019 15:20

Tops all go on hangers, no stretching or peg marks then.

perplexedagain · 17/08/2019 15:23

I used to do waistband but found they didn't dry so well so have swiched to pegging the ankles

Mummoomoocow · 17/08/2019 15:25

I fold them over the line so the crotch is completely free from the line and the legs are loose. Imagine a horizontal line just below the crotch. Solves both problems!

wizzler · 17/08/2019 15:30

Ankles. This is also a huge bone of contention in our house

SleepingIsOverrated · 17/08/2019 16:03

Ankles. Otherwise you think they're dry then, boom! Wet waistband.

Oblomov19 · 17/08/2019 16:07

Waistband. At the back of the waistband. On the inside. So minimal peg marks.

Nat6999 · 17/08/2019 16:52

Waistband for trousers, tops upside down by the bottom, socks on a sock hanger clipped to the line, knickers & boxers by the waistband, bras by one end.

Crikeycrikeyblimeymoses · 17/08/2019 17:25

I peg trousers out by their pockets. Looks weird on the line but everything can get a good airing then!

DearTeddyRobinson · 17/08/2019 17:31

From the ankles. Waistband is thicker so needs more air circulation to dry IMO

OxanaVorontsova · 17/08/2019 17:33

Ankles, for all the reasons mentioned

TDogsInHats · 17/08/2019 17:37

I cringe when people peg the hems...book it's peg at the waist.
I actually re hang if my husband pegs at the hem, it's totally wrong wrong wrong.

Goldenknightsnights · 17/08/2019 17:48

Bottoms by the top, tops by the bottom.
Our next door neighbours peg their washing out all wrong. Drives me nuts when I see it.
I really need to get a life 🙄

RingtheBells · 17/08/2019 17:54

Waistband or there will be peg marks on the legs, I don't iron so no chance of ironing them out

Toobuktim · 17/08/2019 17:54

Turn them inside out and use the pockets!!!
