I've fucked up my bathroom. Help me fuck it up more?

So it needed repainting. I stupidly let my son choose the colour. He is SO proud of himself and loves it. It looks the the changing rooms of our local shit council swimming pool.

It's absolutely fucking awful

So. Do I add white blinds, wooden blinds to help soften it?

Or do I throw EVERYTHING into the fuckit bucket and get hot pink blinds and flamingo the fuck out of it?

When I looked at the first picture, I thought hmm. Then the 2nd picture I thought it looked ok. But this is some type of chameleon paint and each picture looks different.

I have to say that you do seem very good at painting, it looks perfect btw.

I was going to say it isn't that offensive to live with for a year. You will get used to it. Just get some candles and then you can dim the lights at night whilst in the bath

I am not sure what colour apart from a beige sort of thing is going to match up with those tiles. They are the problem. Not the walls.

The tiles are warm, walls are cold so they clash. Go for neutral on the walls! (Not dark brown!)

You need navy in there. Then you can pineapple or flamingo to your hearts content.

Sage is warmer if you like greens...

Beige, oak and sage. (Not all bathrooms but you get the idea how the colours go)...

If you don't want a pull cord get a censored light bulb. God send in our house and you never have to nag about turning of the bathroom light again

I think you need to do something with the tiles, how about finding some transfers of a similar colour to the walls and randomly put them on a few tiles, to kind of tie the top and bottom together, at the moment it is a stark line - and white accessories - particularly a blind, or how about a white blind with fake teal and white 'curtains' - again tying stuff together...

What about tile vinyl stickers? Cheap on Ebay/Amazon and can go for whatever colour or design you like.

Umm I am pretty sure that is the colour of my bathroom walls! We have white suite, white tiles, silver blind and shower curtain with chrome accessories.

I'd be tempted to style out the room like the sea floor. Maybe ceramic fish (or transfers) on the wall and find crab accessories (like toothbrush holders) to place on the tiles. Can you get waterweed looking plants?

The tiles are the issue here, I think the only way round it is to paint the walls white. Anything else will look shite and clash.

Are you definitely going to replace the bathroom next year? Or is it a plan that might end up being two years? If it’s temporary, have fun with it. If it’s not, repaint it!!!! And you are right, painted tiles look pretty shit. You may as well start putting stickers on them!
