I've fucked up my bathroom. Help me fuck it up more?

So it needed repainting. I stupidly let my son choose the colour. He is SO proud of himself and loves it. It looks the the changing rooms of our local shit council swimming pool.

It's absolutely fucking awful

So. Do I add white blinds, wooden blinds to help soften it?

Or do I throw EVERYTHING into the fuckit bucket and get hot pink blinds and flamingo the fuck out of it?

Well ok I kinda like it now. Still need answers about whether flamingos are a common british bathroom theme.

Every bathroom in the UK has at least one flamingo in - its the law here, recently brought in by Boris in an effort to boost the economy in case of no deal.

At some point you will probably want the cream tiles to be white to match the bathroom suite. I agree with suggestions about a tile paint. If you can be bothered doing it now it would look sharp and fresh against the teal. I agree about a white loo seat. If you can’t be bothered painting/changing stuff just now go be beachy. It does look like a beach with those colours!
It would be a shame if your chuffed son was upset if you changed his work of art any time soon, so I’d leave it a while, even if I hated it, for his sake. Then flamingo the living daylights out of it!!

could you get a lighter shade of turquoise and secretly paint it (bet they wouldn't even notice). It is screaming for a light paint colour that blends with the tiles (eg. white, even bloody magnolia!!) If not I like @InsomniacDormouse's suggestion and @Frouby's beach hut the feck out of it. Even throw in a bamboo blind!

I definitely think flamingo towels and bath mat are needed. Not because I want you to buy tat There's still just too much teal. But I love the theme.

I think I have the same tiles as you! This has inspired me to get rid of the boring neutral colour and add flamingos. It looks great, OP!

I've ordered 3 of these (all slightly different variations), and gold frames with a white mount.

I'm on the hunt for towels and a bath mat in hot pink now. Towel wise, other than my Christy towels which have lasted forever, I've struggled to find any better than Asda believe it or not! Any other suggestions?

Black and white prints will make it look less like lego room. Bold choice - embrace it! Because who needs to paint a room twice in one summer...

Morrisons towels are good and so are M and Co. Tesco had some bright Teal ones on sale this week, but they might be gone now.

I've searched high and low for this thread. Great work OP although I think a flamingo blind would have been great. I usually don't like teal but absolutely love this colour.
