I've fucked up my bathroom. Help me fuck it up more?

So it needed repainting. I stupidly let my son choose the colour. He is SO proud of himself and loves it. It looks the the changing rooms of our local shit council swimming pool.

It's absolutely fucking awful

So. Do I add white blinds, wooden blinds to help soften it?

Or do I throw EVERYTHING into the fuckit bucket and get hot pink blinds and flamingo the fuck out of it?

When I said 'that blue ' I meant the one in the OP's most recent photo.

Either go a shade or two lighter, so a softer lighter turquoise, or get your colour charts against the walls and match in one of the tile colours to blend it through and give it a cohesive look.

Personally I think it looks liveable and would match it in with the same colour blind and towels etc.....don't put another contrast colour into it - embrace the deeper tones.

Go aubergine purple on the walls.

Leave it for a couple of weeks. To get over your fatigue, Then paint it white or another colour.

Fuckit bucket - go with the flamingo. Your kids will have wonderful memories of the bathroom they decorated and everyone will think you're mad but who cares! Change the loo to flaming too and the bath if the budget will stretch to it.

How about going for a sea side theme, light houses. Porthole mirror, striped blind,maybe to match your bath mat,large mirror on one wall, few sea side pictures,plant or two, The Range have some lovely sea side room ideas, Matalan, Dunelm, it's in vogue atm, but yup defo change the loo seat to white, As its wood you could paint it . Fuck themes it will just make it worse.

Just paint it neutral and save your energy for redoing the bathroom in a year when you said.

You have to go with what is already there, it's beigy /cream/ brown coloured tiles in the photos so you will have to get a similar colour on the walls, but a dirty looking colour, not too clean as the other things are not bright, they are textured.

WHITE IS RIGHT (also in america anything other than white toilet seat is considered trailer and tacky, sorry OP, I don't mind it in a log cabin or something but from an American perspective only white loo seats are classy.)

You can get white wood toilet seats.with white wood blinds would be lovely.

Add white venetian blind. Change toilet seat to white and also change bin from stainless steel to white. At the moment you've got too many different elements - blue walls, brown tiles, wood, steel, etc. Need to streamline these.

Once you've done that think about adding accessories that will blend in with the blue. You might want to make it a sea theme so maybe add a couple of small pictures on the wall (beach huts, boats, etc. - have a look in The Range if you've got one near you as they do some great stuff). Make sure what you add matches the blue/white theme. You've also got a lovely deep windowsill so can put something like a wooden seagull, a white bowl full of shells, etc. on it. And I'd add something decorative - again in keeping with the blue/white/sea theme on the tiles at the end of the bath.

I love the teal colour ...but would definately get a white toilet seat .. maybe some white tile paint would make the whole room look bright and fresh ..add some teal towels and accessories 🤗

You can buy tile paint. Pint the wall tiles white, sort your loo seat (white please) then cheap light grey toned Lino on floors. White blinds and rest of accessories sage green in colour to tone it down appropriately xx

My bathroom is this colour but with white and grey tiles. We’re about to rip it all out but I still love it, it’s only because the bath panel is bust and it was only a cheap bathroom suite when money was very tight. Otherwise it’d keep it.

The blue could be a theme starting, maybe a nautical theme? Or something you like.

ODFOx you are right about the colour of the tiles. Nothing goes with them but plain white and even then it's iffy. YYY to metallics.

Also repeat the suggestion of gold stencils from upthread.

I don't think it's that bad! Get a nice vase & stick some white lilies or something in there! I jazzed mine up with lavender & some fake white flowers I found in TKmaxx which I'm sure sounds pikey as hell but it looks great with nice products & stuff! Nice mat, flowers, bright colours, yes to flamingos which I'm unashamedly admitting I also have 2 of in my toddler sons room which he loves (he's 3!)
