I've fucked up my bathroom. Help me fuck it up more?

So it needed repainting. I stupidly let my son choose the colour. He is SO proud of himself and loves it. It looks the the changing rooms of our local shit council swimming pool.

It's absolutely fucking awful

So. Do I add white blinds, wooden blinds to help soften it?

Or do I throw EVERYTHING into the fuckit bucket and get hot pink blinds and flamingo the fuck out of it?

P.s if you recognise the photo please don't out me.

Look for curtains with browns and teals. And wall decorations/shelf with the same will soften it.

Look at the paint chips and use colors that are in the same family.

Please don't paint over the tile. And toilet.seat will help pull colors together bc it goes with both tiles and wall color.

It's not really awful; but I'd not add pink!

I like the aubergine. Its quite dark yes but at least it will match a bit better.

I am currently planning my bathroom redo on a budget. As much as I would love to do the disco theme, I just dont know if I could cope with that much bling first thing in the morning

It's D day and none of you bastards have made this easy for me.

I have decided I can't live with the paint. I can't flamingo it now that it's dried to be a proper Happy Land Blue.

My paint options are:
Grey
Navy
Dark green
Duck egg

Blind and toilet seat white.

Other than the toilet seat, I think it looks awesome :)

I'm painting it proper teal. This colour. And back to the flamingo plan.

I think it’s quite nice, sea beach colours so agree with the seashells toilet seat, wooden slat blinds, beach pictures, it’ll be fine.

Please don’t repaint, you’ll offend your son, it’s really fine. That dark teal looks very dark! I can’t see it changing it for the better.

Just to clarify, you hated the teal colour and were asking for advice about how to minimise your visual distress. The teal turned a lighter shade of blue which you hated more so you've actually gone and bought teal paint and repainted it the first colour which you hated so much that you asked mumsnet how to make it better. I bloody love it!!!!!! Now flamingo the fuck out of that space.

I like the new Teal. It's the orange door that's a problem. Paint your bathroom door white and magic things will happen.

I have stone coloured bathroom tiles and I painted the walls F&B Dix Blue which is a blue/green and I bloody love it. I have a white roll top bath, white basin, white loo seat and a few pink bits (orchid/print/posh soap) and it looks fab.

In conclusion:

White the door
Flamingo the fuck

What orange door, Snot? Am I seeing different colours from other people here? I see a brown door, possibly wooden.

I see a wooden door too though you could paint a giant flamingo on it just to reinforce the theme
