Its 34 degrees here in South Yorkshire im stuck in work melting !!!

Has just hit 40C outside the (south) side of my house in Milton, Cambridge. We're all indoors doing arts and crafts so it's not too bad (2 ice creams each might have helped too...😄)

North Kent. My phone is saying 36. The back of my house which is north facing is about 26

West Midlands about 30here I think but mostly cloudy so the house is staying cool.We have a little breeze so it's actually pleasant,If the sun was belting down I might not be enjoying it as much.
Mind you withwork and a minor op yesterday this is my only chance to enjoy it.
It is supposed to drop to 20 tomorrow for a few days but I'm back at work🙄.
I do feel for all you mums of preschoolers though,I used to pop mine Infront of Disney films to prevent overheating.Seemed a waste of a summer's day but needs must.

We have just got back from the park and the children are wiped out. Even though we stayed in the shade they are sticky and greasy from sun tan lotion and sweat. It’s gross 🥵🥵 we all need showers!

Soubriquet. The published temperature is always taken in the shade. I'n the sun it is ALWAYS hotter than the listed temperature. So it may well be in the 40s in the sun. Just as it may well be in the 30s on days where it is listed in the 20s. So those countries with a temperature shown as 41 are actually in the 50s in the sun.

Have just ironed 2 duvets covers, 4 pillow cases and a king-size sheet. And made up my mind only to have visitors in winter from now on.

If I was at home in Dubai it would be 53 but I would be loving my ac.
I'm on holiday in Bali where the weather is a beautiful 27.
Im very happy I decided not to go to UK this Summer. We were there last year and it was too bloody hot.

33 here now but luckily have a bit of a breeze which makes it feel cooler.
