Dropped ds at nursery today for my first 'day off' since he was born 10 months ago. Need to brave the garden to hang the washing out and change bedding but i know i'll melt

Can’t decide to stay home just because it’s hot.

Just completed an trek on foot to the local asda with ds 5.Supplies include 4 beers (me) haribo (ds) milkshake(ds) shortbread (to share) yep it's too hot to worry about 5 a day today!

Baby has fallen asleep in the car so I'm sitting on the drive with the air con on. Might just live here until it cools down!

Sweating. Thats all I am doing, fucking sweating.

Enjoying my one day off by sitting in the garden reading. I’ve come inside for a bit to grab food. I love the sunshine (not so much when I’m at work!).

Mostly hiding in the house after venturing out in it this morning. It's not only stupidly hot here, but there's weird little bouts of rain suddenly falling in handfuls from nowhere 😐

Plus a cold shower naked in my yard. There's not many days when I love that part of our yard is under the overhang of our house & completely hidden from view and light but my gawd Ive enjoyed it today

Staying in house and washing heavy duty items.

I have been home all day today.
I cancelled lunch and shopping plans with a friend because I cant cope with the heat.

Done lots of washing and little jobs around the house.

Just sitting on the bed with the fan on wondering what to make for tea

Say in my pjs with a cold microfibre cloth on my head, drinking wine and debating what’s the earliest I can put my kids to bed

Just got back from my first shadow shift as a carer and got dumped by the woman I was meant to be shadowing about two miles away from the next job (after tried to get me to go home halfway through the shift) and told to meet her there in a hour. She's a driver, I'm a walker, don't know the area, don't know what buses go where and it's the hottest day of the year. So I walked the two miles in the blistering heat while she went and had her lunch.

So now I'm trying to soothe my sunburnt face, eat something (haven't eaten yet and been up since 6am) and get a cold shower.

I'm waiting for a new fridge freezer to be delivered, since ours died a few days ago. We have no cold food, ice, lollies etc. I think i'm actually melting.

DD works for Nando's and is in restaurant today. She likened it to standing next to an indoor bbq for 6 hours! Before she put her clothes on, she put them in the freezer for half an hour!

We've been for a picnic in the park, it was a bit warm. Apart from that we are eating lollies and having cold baths.

Just done DS3's birthday party. A pool party thank god! A spectacular, but unheard off for me. bit of foresight. I just wish I'd got in with them, rather than faffing around putting out the food.

Now got to start sorting out my pigsty of a house and start packing for a 3 and a half week road trip through Europe which we leave for on Monday . Not a thing packed yet and 6 people to pack for.

Just now in a large shopping centre which has the best air-con around so perfectly unruffled and choosing some shoes for DD.

I think a lot of people came purely for the air con as it's very busy for a Thurs afternoon!

It's interesting though as people seem to be losing their shit generally, a bit like the impatient Christmas shopping crowd.

We're just not very good with hot weather are we?

I’ve been gardening and have taken refuge inside whilst DH has gone to the tip. Spades and hot weather don’t go well but had to get it done,

At work, all air conditioned, so nice. Walked home. Jumped in the huge paddling pool. Fab.

I cleaned the bathrooms and put the Dyson round at 7.30 this morning. Been to Zumba, Barre and yoga r, all of which are in a village hall. All windows there opened, curtains closed, ceiling and floor fans on. Plenty of red faces and sweaty bodies. Been out to buy something for dinner and had a shower and a little reading session. Just sitting now.

I tried to deliver training in our non air conditioned office. They staff didn't want to be there and neither did I. One of them then fainted so after making sure she was ok, I sent everyone home, including myself!
