Heatwaves - do you like them or loathe them?

I have to say that as much as I hate winter, I just can not tolerate excessive heat. The older I am getting the less I seem to handle these humid, extra hot, sticky days. I feel completely worn out, weak and shaky, really nauseous and down right moody. I can’t sleep so feel shattered too. Dh on the other hand (who also works outside) loves it, whilst I seem to be roasting And wilting from the inside out, he is calm and mellow and says if you pace yourself it’s great!
Mine you, I shouldn’t moan as it’ll probably be pissing it down when we go on our hols to Somerset in two weeks!!

I don't mind the heat if I'm near a beach or a pool.

However, I near neither and so am not at all comfortable.

I mean, it’s not really a heatwave it’s just summer

But it's not just summer it's supposed to be the hottest day on record in some parts of the UK today.

Second that; since when was 38 degrees “just summer”? You can almost see the mugginess in London, I suppose it’s just heat haze but it feels like an actual tangible thing surrounding you. It’s really horrible.

Trains are affected so not been running, definitely a bit more than just summer.

It is going to be 25c here tomorrow with thundery showers. Weekend looks shit with temps around 21c and rain. So last day of the heatwave.

I love summer. 33c is a little hotter than I would like and I have felt too hot at times but I prefer this than the weather we have forecasted for the weekend.

I don't like extreme heat like this. Low 20's is plenty warm enough for me. I hate not being able to do anything, even walk to the shop or cook a proper meal, as it's just too hot.

Same. The simplest things are so hard in this weather. I want to wash my hair but can't face the hairdryer. I can't get on with the housework or cook. Don't want to walk to park with the kids.

I hate to say it but I’m looking forward to the shittier weather at the weekend, this is just a bit too much. I’ve just taken a cold shower, walked downstairs and am as sticky as before I showered!
