I'm not sure about the ethics of the Other Woman welcoming BJ to No 10- she's at the door now - when he is in fact still married.

I feel adults should be free to do what they want, but this relationship seems way outside the boundaries of what is morally acceptable for a PM who is not divorced yet.

All of us can only speculate.

However, it seems quite clear by the posts so far, those who are Tory through and through, and those who are feminists.
For all of those posters who are saying she is doing it for her own promotion - have you ever slept with your own boss to get where you want to be in your career? Or dis you think you could do it yourself?
From a purely aesthetic point of view, I'd be wondering (somewhat judgementally some might say) what the fuck she sees in him. If it were a couple I knew.

I don’t think she’s “with him for money and power”, some women just find money and power attractive? As in she finds him attractive for that reason? Not that she’s repulsed by him but just wants the money/power like some are making out. Just like some people go for looks. I wouldn’t fancy him in a million years but everyone is different.

My point is it's tasteless and insensitive to a lot of people (his wife and children, and the 'conservative' - small c - electorate) to flaunt their relationship in public. If it were France no one would bat an eyelid. But in the UK we do expect a high moral code from people in public office (rightly or wrongly.)

If they want a relationship, fair enough, but my opinion is she ought to live in her own house, not with him (either at No 10 or anywhere else) until he is divorced.

To me, it shows a complete lack of judgement from both of them (but he is a lost cause in terms of morality) .

She has a poor work record- was sacked from the Tory party for fiddling her expenses and making poor decisions in her role as Director of Comms. Her degree is in theatre studies so hardly an intellectual heavyweight.

She, allegedly, has a poor relationship with her father. Often = looking to a much, much older partner, imo.

Again Marina had an affair with him whilst he was already married to his first wife and got pregnant with his child before he’d even gotten divorced so she doesn’t deserve any sympathy. She got him how she lost him.

It’s not even 1% of her parents business who she dates!! She’s a 30 year old woman ffs. How would you feel if you 30 year old kids lectured you on who you dated? They aren’t children anymore.

Also bringing up her degree? You sound a bit like you dislike her because she’s a younger woman tbh. It’s hardly a secret that he’s a serial philanderer. Hiding his girlfriend isn’t going to change that.

I hope he does consider the feelings of his wife and kids in some way. Carrie wasn't with him when he arrived at No10 so hopefully he is.

And yes I know how he and his wife got together but that was 20 years and 4 kids ago so she does deserve some consideration. Watching the husband you have supported in his career for 20 years standing on the steps of 10 Downing Street with his girlfriend of a year or so would be quite hard to take.
