How do i find this toy? Help!

My twins are both autistic and attend a local nursery - one has become very attached to a set of toy animals, especially this poor seal who is very worse for wear after he’s chewed it to death.

He’s just handed me the PECS card for it (unheard of) and cried because I don’t have it. Nursery have said we can take it home but I’m worried it will get lost, and I’d like to buy some so we have similar ones at home, plus replacements for nursery.

I don’t even know how to search for it - it’s that sort of rubbery, soft foamy texture.

Any ideas? The only text on it says “made in China” 🤦‍♀️

Seal is now firmly in mouth and he’s a very happy boy indeed (haven’t let on that there’s lots more too!). Sadly I couldn’t capture his excited bouncing but he’s thrilled. Thanks everyone!

He’s now running around squealing, seal in his mouth, dolphin in one hand, turtle in the other. Kids eh? I can’t count how much money I’ve spent on toys trying to engage him with things, and all he wants is some cheap squishy sea animals 😂

DH got a pic of his little face when I brought them out - I realise it may not look it, but this is what passes for joy in DT2’s world :) He hasn’t put the seal down so a definite job well done. Thanks to you all 🙌

He is an adorable little monkey. He’s very chatty this afternoon so despite the sounds being entirely random I think he’s saying “thanks for my seal, MNers”

He even let his twin brother play with the other animals, which is - the fact they’re sitting next to each other even more shocking!

Anyway, just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate your help and show you that you’ve brought smiles to all our faces :)

I've never said this before but this thread should truly end up in classics to show just how fabulous Mumsnet can be. It's a great reminder that no matter how much shit we all have to deal with in our day to day lives people can take the time out to make a 2 year old they have never met so happy.

Man, I think I may have actually cried a little bit! And I'm not premenstrual!

You’re all so so kind. There can be some really snipey nasty comments on MN sometimes but they’re so heavily outnumbered by the lovely people.

I still can’t believe you guys managed to find it, on page 1! And from such a mangled example! I’m normally really good at tracking things down (if anyone saw my lube bubbles thread you’ll know I find some weird and wonderful things while trying to make my boys happy!) but this had me stumped.

Obviously this thread will out me to anyone who knows my boys, but I just had to show you what a hit the toys are!

We’ve had a rotten couple of months and this has restored my faith in people :)
