How do i find this toy? Help!

My twins are both autistic and attend a local nursery - one has become very attached to a set of toy animals, especially this poor seal who is very worse for wear after he’s chewed it to death.

He’s just handed me the PECS card for it (unheard of) and cried because I don’t have it. Nursery have said we can take it home but I’m worried it will get lost, and I’d like to buy some so we have similar ones at home, plus replacements for nursery.

I don’t even know how to search for it - it’s that sort of rubbery, soft foamy texture.

Any ideas? The only text on it says “made in China” 🤦‍♀️

Comefromaway · 26/07/2019 11:10

What a fabulous outcome! (mum of two autistic teens here)

SinkGirl · 26/07/2019 11:12

The seal looks much cuter without half his face chewed off 😂

It's not excessive, it's practical - you've then got them for house/outside bag/bath/spare. It's ideal.
Pleased as Punch for you. Flowers

You’re all just amazing. I can’t believe it was possible to find them and get multiples. Based on the packaging the sets must be pretty old.

He’ll probably go off them now in a week but at least I tried 😂

What a lovely thread, waiting for an update.

stucknoue · 26/07/2019 11:34

Amazing, this is social media at its best! I've been there - it does get easier, they stop wanting toys, our current obsession is playing the piano and church organ!

Sirzy · 26/07/2019 11:42

I can envisage you having to chew half the face off to make it the same!

Glad you found them we had similar with a social media search for the right dressing gown - I now have 9 of them hidden away!

SinkGirl · 26/07/2019 11:43

I don’t think he’ll object to them being new. Things like that don’t seem to bother him, yet!

I’m so happy you found them, am looking forward to hearing how your son reacts when you give them to him Flowers

fleshmarketclose · 26/07/2019 11:58

@sinkgirl my son has autism and as a tot used to carry a seal round. His was a small cuddly one from a zoo gift shop. We ended up going back and buying three more to avoid the meltdowns if he couldn't locate it instantly. Ds is 24 now and seal is in the built in cupboard in his wardrobe "for memories"

HeadintheiClouds · 26/07/2019 11:58

This is amazing 🙂
