Because I am nosy and I love holidays!

Plus I need cheering up.

@Mummyilovejokes1 it's called zafiro menorca. I really like it as it has apart hotel style rooms so more room. 10 mins from the local town and beach etc. Trip advisor has loads of reviews. Good luck hunting, I hate the hunting bit!

Dontgiveamonkeys1350 · 21/07/2019 17:45

I’m in France at the moment. Got here today. A week in Paris. A week in Bordeaux. And a few days in Deauville. The weather is wonderful

Equimum · 21/07/2019 17:46

Cornwall for two weeks, the. Visiting family in the Midlands later on.

Amibeingdaft81 · 21/07/2019 17:49

Yes, easier to see what I have/ still need. Obviously won't pack things we are still using, but a lot of our 'holiday stuff' is in bags etc all over the house. **

I like to be organised grin

Doesn’t sound organised to me!

Re menorca... check out princess playa. My first holiday alone with the children post divorce. Couldn’t afford even a description of previous holiday spend. I was very nervous BUT it was lovely. Simply but beautiful Pool, so clean, nice garden.

Loved the marina. Really successful holiday

OtraCosaMariposa · 21/07/2019 17:50

Had two weeks in the South of France. Over and done with. We've been on summer holidays since 27th June. Half way through school holidays already.

Amibeingdaft81 · 21/07/2019 17:53

Those looking forward to going Disney land

Out of interest - are you excited for your children if you know what I mean or excited at prospect of their excitement or are you actually looking forward to two weeks of a theme park? Genuine question as just seems so alien to me as something enjoy but I’d enjoy my children’s excitement - but that really would be the extent of it suspect!

Frogsandsheep · 21/07/2019 17:53

Morocco for 2 weeks. Am very excited 😊

Whatsyournameagain · 21/07/2019 17:55

Going to Corfu in 2 weeks. Never been before, and I am so looking forward to a break!

Strokethefurrywall · 21/07/2019 18:02

Live in the Caribbean so taking the kids to NYC for a week in the last week of August.

My favorite city, I absolutely love it and so easy to keep the kids entertained there.

We don't really "do" holidays living here, not like I used to back in the Uk when I'd book 2 weeks in Greece. I love Rhodes and used to go a lot, I really miss that lovely dry heat and smell of oregano on everything.... mmmm mmmmm 🤤

Toitoitoi · 21/07/2019 18:04

@SquirellTamer me too! Atm it is going to be coldish! Hmm

Mummyilovejokes1 · 21/07/2019 18:09

@ChihuahuaMummy1 were you answering my post? If you were, thank you i will take a look at Cala d'or, we havent been there before...not too worried about the nightlife though Grin

We went to Ibiza last year (lovely island, terrible hotel) and i sat googling our next holiday too Grin we didnt book until we got back though but its lovely to do your research sitting my a pool/beach!

@TipseyTorvey thank you i will take a look at that one. Sounds like a nice location, away from the town but close enough to walk there. Hope you have a fab time

TheTempest · 21/07/2019 18:12

I’m in Benidorm at the moment. My mum is one of the golden oldies living over here part time, so staying at her huge caravan just outside beni. I haven’t been anywhere near the chav bit but I will have a night out! I’ve adopted two puppies from a rescue here, so drove over week to settle them in and drive home. It’s so damn hot!

Haybo26 · 21/07/2019 18:13

@babyblackbird fabulous! Hope you had a great time.

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 21/07/2019 18:41

Mummyilovejokes1 · 21/07/2019 18:48

Grin Both, actually.

Believe me, before I went the first time it felt alien to me too- I hate crowds, I can't take excessive noise, I'm terrified of heights...not someone who you would think would enjoy Disney.
But I found it one of the most enjoyable holidays I've ever had. Everything is slick and well done. Customer service is amazing. I loved more of the rollercoasters than I thought I would. American beds are far more comfortable than 99% of those in European holiday destinations. And obviously you can do as much or as little as you like. Some days we go to one park to do 2 favourite rides, then pop off to another park to do the same and so on.

If I'm brutally honest, the 'villa in the sun, relaxing with a glass of wine' type of holiday would bore me silly- we tend to do activity-based holidays, so that's part of the reason, I guess.

shinynewapple · 21/07/2019 20:27

Currently on a short break in north Wales. Also visited near here for a week in June and at Easter. Will be off to Algarve in September.

LadyB49 · 21/07/2019 20:40

Malta and Gozo in October.
We were there in October 3 years ago and loved it.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/07/2019 20:50

Disney World, Florida. 4 weeks tomorrow

We are off on the 30th for three weeks Grin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/07/2019 20:52

Of july i should say

I always get very jealous of people going on holiday when we get back...passing them in the airport Grin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/07/2019 20:56

We’ve been before by ourselves and enjoy it but its lovely seeing the childrens excitement

Ds1 in particular adores Disney world...he is coming with us and bringing his boyfriend and he is very very excited about showing his boyfriend everything

sonjadog · 21/07/2019 20:58

I've already been. One week in Germany split between Hamburg and Berlin. I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely an activity holiday - walked miles and miles every day and saw lots of sights.

Natsku · 21/07/2019 20:59

Nowhere this year. I had planned on going to Lapland for a week but had to cancel. OH is working the rest of the summer (summer is almost over here, DD goes back to school on the 8th of August) except for tomorrow so we're having a day out at a high ropes course and that is our summer holiday!

DD had a week in Lapland with my parents though

JamesBondFire · 21/07/2019 20:59

@pepsimax20bigger Ohhh North Carolina in October is amazing! We were at the Outer Banks at that time last year. We'd planned on staying at Emerald Isle but there was so much damage to the rentals in the area that we couldn't stay (hurricane Florence).

youarenotkiddingme · 21/07/2019 21:01

Torreblanca for a week at end of August.

Can't wait!
