What’s your favourite sandwich?

I’ve just had my favourite for lunch. A nice soft white bread roll with Red Leicester cheese, coleslaw and crinkle cut ready salted crisps. It’s my very favourite.

Shop bought I've got a dangerous addiction to Tesco sausage, bacon and egg triple. I get it in the meal deal with coconut water and pomegranate seeds and feel like I've beaten the system by saving over £3.

I bought a Tesco meal deal recently and was surprised that coconut water was included as it's normally quite expensive. It wasn't the small bottle either, was a decent 500ml bottle.

The £3 deal in Tesco is great value. I have the triple decker chicken club sandwich, a pot of carrot sticks & hoummous and coconut water. In comparison I went to Waitrose last week and had a normal (not triple decker) sandwich, carrot & hoummous and the same coconut water I get from Tesco and it cost me £5.79. Quite a difference for essentially the exact same food but a smaller sandwich! Tesco Express was only down the road too but I went to Waitrose thinking they would have a posher selection of sandwiches. I'll stick with Tesco in future (both are down the road from where I work so I go there quite a bit when I can't be bothered to make my own).

Avocado, blue cheese, sun dried toms and spinach in granary bread. M&S used to do it about 15 years ago.

I love cold home cooked roast chicken breast with lots of salt on vyr fresh white bread with real butter

Or M&S smoked ham with mustard mayo on wholemeal

Or tinned red salmon with salt and pepper, very fresh wholemeal bread and real butter

Grilled bacon in a toasted sesame bagel with real butter (a theme!)

grilled sausages split length-ways into white bread with salt and real butter

And at Christmas I LOVE cold roast turkey breast, herb stuffing and cranberry sauce on really fresh bread with real butter - lots of salt on the turkey

Chip shop chips with loads of salt and vinegar on white bread with loads of butter

Tayto cheese and onion crisps on white bread with real butter

Really good raspberry jam on very fresh white bread with a thick layer of real butter

@BrokenWing Is a Glesga roll a morning roll? Best served with a generous slab of butter and some crisps.

@Gingerkittykat a morning roll is soft and bread as in first photo. A glesga roll is a similar shape but harder/crispy/chewier/darker, the flavour and texture is completely different. Also best eaten on day baked.
