What’s your favourite sandwich?

I’ve just had my favourite for lunch. A nice soft white bread roll with Red Leicester cheese, coleslaw and crinkle cut ready salted crisps. It’s my very favourite.

Brunswick ham (from sainsburys), boursin cheese, picked beetroot and white onion. Lush.

A Reuben Deli - hot pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing in whatever bread you like (I prefer thick white toaster bread for this) is my all time favourite sandwich.

I also love a mix of tuna, mayo, spring onion, cheese and pineapple in bread or a wrap, and then 'toasted' in the George Foreman grill

Hot - mozzarella and Serrano ham (or chorizo) panini.
Cold - poppy seed baguette with ham, pickle, cucumber and red onion.
Divine. Am low carbing so these will not be eaten by me for a while!

Seeded brown bread with red pepper hummus instead of butter/marg, grated cheese, red pepper & spinach quorn slices, raw sliced mushroom and chipotle coleslaw. That's the sandwich of pigs and champions.

Shop bought: Sainsbury's bacon, brie and chilli chutney. It used to be a seasonal Christmas sandwich and the day I discovered they'd kept it all year round I nearly screamed out loud in the fridge aisle

Honey cured ham, German smoked cheese, lettuce and tomatoes 😋

Pork banh mi (assuming that burritos don't count)

Ripe red sliced tomato with salt and pepper on white bread with mayo.

cheese, peanut butter & coleslaw on granary bread = amazing

Hot smoked salmon and avocado on ciabatta bread.

A nice Reuben - absolutely amazing and one of the things I miss from my time in the US.

I have loads of favourite sandwiches, a much underrated food IMO.

Today I had pulled pork with lettuce, spring onions and cucumber with teriyaki sauce on soft white bread. And a packet of Discos on the side.

Avocado, salad with mayo on lovely soft brown bread. From my local cafe.

You haven't lived until you've had an M and S prawn sandwich

White or brown bread

Mayo spread instead of butter
4 fish fingers
Sweet chilli dipping sauce drizzled over the FF
Some nice salad leaves

Boom 💥 amazing sandwhich which i have for dinner quite often!

Favourite would be still warm boiled egg mashed up with sea salt, pepper, mayo and cress on buttered granary

Baguette, proper salted butter, perfectly ripe Brie, rocket and homemade bramble jelly.

Or 2 beaten eggs cooked like a thin pancake and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Place on a wrap and drizzle with ketchup, then roll up.

Chiperone Bocadillo. Baby squid in a baby baguette. On holiday at the end of the week so will have one then as know a place in Madrid that does gluten free ones!

@YesILikeItToo Pret's ham and cornichon roll is my favourite bought sandwich too, in fact one of the very few I will eat; today I recreated it at home with a chunk of delicious baguette from Waitrose, v good thick ham, and cornichons, and half way through I added some slices of tomato salad, it was divine.

God, I don't know how to choose! Rare roaat beef, tomato and horseradish baguette? Coronation chicken on granary? Strong cheddar and onion on white? Definitely has to be homemade or freshly prepared though. Pre-packaged sandwiches are grim, whichever shop they come from.

Rye sourdough with havarti, gherkins, sauerkraut, sweet tomatoes and pesto.

A lasagne sandwich! That's right, a slice of lasagne stuck between two slices of brown bread! Yum. 😋

Or... Bacon, brie and cranberry if you're thinking more of the 'traditional' sandwich fillers.
