Was discussing this with DD and her friends and thought it would make a great mumsnet thread.

Here are mine,
I cant stand Eastenders
I find Love Island boring

I agree with the pps about healthy food being cheap.

I don't think carbs are bad and protein good (or insert latest food fad) .see kerbs cycle, glycolysis and gluconeogenesis for how body interconverts what is put in.

I don't think we all live near a great state school able to cope with all childrens' needs.

I find it annoying when people complain about the social housing they have been offered, esp if their rent is covered by housing benefit. E.g. Wrong part of town etc. People should be grateful to be housed at all.

I am pro the royal family.

I don't believe most of the food allergies kids apparently have are genuine. A proportion are, but not everyone! DS' preschool cohort of 42 kids - staff told me 31 have food allergies. Dry skin, being grouchy, cradle cap are not the same as having anaphylaxis type hypersensitivity reactions. Removing whole food groups from the diet has its own risks. I worry about crying wolf issues.

Cut flowers in houses are horrible.

Bubbles are rubbish. Champagne, prosecco, coke, lemonade, fizzy beer, all of it with bubbles is not good.

Bubble free drinks are the best.

It can be as cheap as it likes at places like Aldi, Asda, Tesco, etc but if you're on a restricted budget and can't access those shops and the only shop you can access is the local convenience store with a limited range of stock and premium pricing then you're going to buy whatever is cheapest. Generally speaking, in these sorts of shops, the unhealthy foods are the cheapest. And if you don't have £5 to top up the key meter to cook something but you do have £3 in cash and that £3 can feed two of you something hot and filling from the local takeaway then you're going to go to the local takeaway.

Some people here have no fucking clue about influencing factors behind obesity, poor nutrition, and social deprivation.

I agree twiglets are amazing. Hadn’t had them for years until a couple of months ago. Now we get through a couple of big bags a week.

Parents who let their children demand and decide what to do/wear/eat/say because they 'should have a choice' is so stupid.
Parents who do the above and then go onto home school their child/children and completely alienating them from growing up having friendships and other adults in their life.
