Was discussing this with DD and her friends and thought it would make a great mumsnet thread.

Here are mine,
I cant stand Eastenders
I find Love Island boring
I dont like Ed Sheeran

Tourists and anyone on non-essential travel should not be allowed on the tube between 6am - 9am and 5pm - 7pm. You can travel if you are going to/returning from work catching a plane and that's it.

Montessori nurseries are crap.

Work has organised a month long series of compulsory Pride related workshops that we have to attend in order to learn how to be a better ally to our LGBTQ colleagues. I'm bored stiff of them already. I treat everyone the same and really don't care about anyone's sexual orientation. In fairness, my gay colleague is fed up with them too.

Like a PP I also hate seeing small kids fed food from jars. It takes 15 minutes to put something together for newly weaned baby or toddler.

* junk food is a hell of a lot cheaper than fresh. That is a valid excuse imo. With so many people in poverty and using food banks some people don't have much choice.*

I knew some one was going to come up with an excuse like this

Big Bag of carrots - 60p (or splurge on organic for....£1)
Bag of apples (7 in a bag) 89p
Bag of potatoes £1.50
Pasta £60
Large crown of broccoli 45p

There is no excuse for not eating healthily. There really isn’t. Fresh vegetables and fruit are cheap. Doesn’t need to be punnet of organic raspberries. I’m talking about apples, bananas, carrot - healthy, satisfying and cheap

People who talk about how Instagram causes them to be depressed about their looks whilst following models/Kardashian types are idiots. No one is FORCING you to follow those people.

I mostly follow cat pages/comedy pages. I’m not going to follow a bunch of photoshopped celebs then complain they’re giving me body image issues.

I’m enjoying that the summer in UK is getting hotter every year thanks to climate change lmao.

Being a young parent is the end of your life

ITV is a rubbish channel

Adverts shouldn't be allowed in the middle of a show, only in between two shows.

Agree with a PP - Biologically male adult athletes who self ID as women and compete against biological women are not brave and inspiring, they are cheating.

Also that cyclists should have insurance and subject to more legislation

I love dogs but a lot of people who own them are not remotely responsible enough to own one (nor have children)

Prison should only be for violent, sexual assault , aggressive or controlling behaviour.
Everyone else should be put on intensive rehabilitation programmes with lots of therapy, education and payback schemes.

£60 for a bag of pasta??? Where the fuck do you shop Fortnum & Mason?

Yes I realise it was a typo but quite a Freudian one.

What about factoring in the cost of gas/electric, water, cooking equipment (people who have recently been homeless may not have a thing), supplies are a lot more expensive than your list at corner shop-not everyone has access to supermarkets?

Compare that to a portion of fish and chips (which round here are enormous and would easily feed 2) and it's no real surprise.
