You'd think so @howwudufeel but I've seen it happen time and time again.

Sagradafamiliar · 04/07/2019 17:11

Oh it's one of these.
I'd like it if football was cancelled, actually all sport. Just cancel it all. Can't be doing with dogs either

FannyAnne64 · 04/07/2019 17:14

The movie, 'Mamma fucking Mia' - It's shit!
Have kids = At least one parent should stay at home until they're five!
😬... dashes for cover!

beepbeeprichie · 04/07/2019 17:16

Cyclists shouldn’t be allowed on main roads in rush hour. There I’ve said it Grin

probstimeforanewname · 04/07/2019 17:20

Tuna ruins salads. In fact tinned tuna ruins everything, yuck.

I also think Latin is worth learning.

Not keen on BBQs either.

But I do like coffee!

Businesses should pay sufficiently high wages so that there is no need for in-work benefits. If you can't pay your staff a living wage, you don't have a viable business

Completely agree!

Cyclists shouldn’t be allowed on main roads in rush hour. There I’ve said it

What about tractors? In fact how about banning cars and only allowing bikes :)

People should only be able to have one dog at a time as a pet, they should always be on (short) leads unless they are in a designated dog exercise area (of which there should be one in every town). And extendable leads need to be banned because they are so dangerous.

Pavement parking needs to be banned except in certain housing estates where it was planned into the design.

I think most people can grasp its supposed to be lighthearted.

I think you’ve overestimated some of the people posting on MN. I don’t think a single one of these threads has ever made it to the end without being deleted.

Suspect half the people who’ve opened it have only done so to see if it’s all gone to shit yet.

leiaskye · 04/07/2019 17:23

Nando’s is just over priced chicken.

McDonalds is fine every so often for the kids

I have no issue with siblings coming to my kids parties (as long as they understand no party bag or food). This is how it is in my social circle & I'm absolutely fine with that.

No one should leave the confines of their own home in pj’s.

DontCallMeShitley · 04/07/2019 17:24

People who buy vegetarian and vegan ready made food because they love animals should avoid the food containing palm oil.

Ethically produced palm oil doesn't exist.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 04/07/2019 17:25

Yes but if we avoided everything with palm oil we'd have to survive on thin air!

DontCallMeShitley · 04/07/2019 17:26

Smoke free zones should be reinstated while people are being penalised for driving cars that emit fumes. It is all pollution.

dodgeballchamp · 04/07/2019 17:27

On paper, I like the idea of communism (IRL it doesn’t work)

I would like inheritance abolished, a cap on how many houses one can own, and a maximum wage, preferably all housing nationalised

Childcare should be subsidised and free at the point of use

Marriage is inherently misogynist and should be abolished

No woman should ever financially depend on a man

alittlebitdemented · 04/07/2019 17:28

Don't like dogs

Hedgehogblues · 04/07/2019 17:28

Mushrooms are of the Devil

herethereandeverywhere · 04/07/2019 17:30

I've got no problems with a farmed fur coat (or the coyote trim on a Canada Goose jacket)
No different to leather or meat and I'm a consumer of both.

Shmithecat2 · 04/07/2019 17:31

Not even attempting to breastfeed a new born (medical issues aside) is selfish and lazy.

Soola · 04/07/2019 17:31

Well here’s my Mumsnet unpopular opinions.

Dummies/soothers/pacifiers are grim.

Disposable nappies are grim.

Breast is best.

Brexit all the way.

Boris for PM.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 04/07/2019 17:33

Less than an hour in and we have racism Hmm

dodgeballchamp · 04/07/2019 17:34

Ooh ooh ive got another one

Being selfish is a good thing, as long as you’re not actively hurting anyone

HoneyIgrewthekids · 04/07/2019 17:36

I havent noticed any racism in fact most posts are lighthearted as intended

Non binary status. Decide what you are, there are only two genders. If you don’t want to be the gender you were born in, then transition.

KookyBeret · 04/07/2019 17:37

I love these threads and don't see the point in deleting them.
Tattoos can look great.
Cheese is godawful.
That parents who don't work up into their children's teenage years under the guise of "teenagers actually need you around more than younger children" are deluding themselves. I don't care if you work or not, many people have valid reasons not to but don't pretend that this is why you do it.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 04/07/2019 17:40

David Attenborough is a cock.

A current one due to friends ranting on social media - parents shouldn't get more annual leave so they can attend stuff at school. Theres plenty of stuff I miss out on and I'd like more leave too, cheers!

Rainbowknickers · 04/07/2019 17:41

Coffee is foul
So are baked beans
Wine is awful I don’t get wine o’clock
Soaps are for brain dead muppets
So are talent shows
Online shopping is overrated I like to see/feel/try on my clothes

RJnomore1 · 04/07/2019 17:42

A lot of people on MN make shit up
A lot of people on MN are very unpleasant
A lot of people on MN are incredibly tedious

I’d love to see a Venn diagram of the above
