Just seen on the news that Harry and Meghan will not release any details of Archie’s godparents

What does everyone think? The papers seem really annoyed by their decision to keep Archie’s godparents secret. I’m not sure what to think. I don’t think it would hurt to let the public know these details and to see the christening party arrive at church.

why isn't that a surprise?
Not meant to be.

justasking111 · 09/07/2019 21:46

Why is all this being dumped on her. Harry saw what the media did to his mother maybe he is laying down the rules.

Many people don't like M because she can't forgive her dad. It could have been dealt in a much more professional way but not in a JK style. It's just pity.

Eh? Who are these 'many people' who know so much about her life and personal relationships?

They don't but the press feeds them with the news from time to time.

'Making shit up' isn't news. The Daily Hate/Fail is very effective at feeding the irrational hatred that a certain group harbour towards MM.

Anyone who believes a hundredth of it should seriously question their critical thinking skills.

Thump · 09/07/2019 22:58

Taking no photos of her at Wimbledon is 'best for her child'? LOL

31RueCambon · 09/07/2019 23:24

Is it not fairly obvious even to her most critical detractors that her Dad would have sold her up the river by accident/for a bucket of KFC.
He seems like a real idiot and an idiot who could not just stay sober, private and classy for the run up to her wedding.

Itssosunny · 10/07/2019 21:32

Poor M, she looks very uncomfortable in this photo.

She had a good quiet life before getting married into the RF. Since then there is so much negativity towards her from the press. It's nearly on a daily basis when you read M did this and M did that.

AltogetherAndrews · 10/07/2019 22:14

You are all mad, making shit up about a bunch of people you have never met, based on the headlines of tabloids who also just make shit up.

It’s like you are all arguing about a soap opera when none of you have ever seen an episode.

DeeCeeCherry · 11/07/2019 01:03

Well nobody here can stop them having privacy. No matter how you carp on about MM. I'm glad - the talk is so hateful that she'll need protecting from crazed people who specifically hate a member of the royal family, more than any other, but will spew 100s of words and spawn numerous threads, because in typical cowardly fashion the racism towards MM can't be admitted. She'd be endangered if any of tgefrothers got near her with their overwrought nonsense. Hopefully she's putting her feet up relaxing enjoying her family and doesn't give a shit about the madness that is MN nowadays when it comes to her. She's just had a baby and still, this relentless tirade against a woman you don't know and aren't ever likely to meet. Men have nothing on women when it comes to bullying pack mentality. The MM threads encompass it all - racism, sexism, it's all a woman's fault, women must behave a certain way. Get a hobby and a life ffs

Itssosunny · 11/07/2019 09:30

Another article is out today criticising the way M was holding A yesterday when they were out. Most popular comments come from low-lives. They probably come from the internet trolls but how come its not controlled. This harassment is out of control now.

SkintAsASkintThing · 11/07/2019 10:48

She looks awkward because her breasts are probably very swollen and let's face it, if she'd breastfed him the gutter press would have had a field day. Ditto if she'd dared to wear a sling.

Why the hell can't people just leave them alone ? it's getting ridiculous now.

Some of whom unfortunately migrate to MN threads as well.

It's really rather disgusting. Who on earth would blame this woman for wanting to do whatever to takes to protect her child from these pathetic bullies?

I agree Meghan was holding her baby awkwardly . Maybe if she had used a sling or put him in a sun protected push chair , it would have received less criticism .

MindyStClaire · 11/07/2019 13:00

My sister got married when DC1 was 12 weeks. It was boiling, I was juggling her, bridesmaid dress etc, DC had reflux and couldn't lie flat so I had to hold her upright, it was far too hot to use the sling or we both would've melted.

If I'd looked anywhere near as calm, unruffled and natural as Meghan looks in those photos I'd have been delighted.

Surely we're above criticising a new mother for how she holds her baby? FFS.

SeptemberIssue · 11/07/2019 13:52

This argument that, because “they take public funds” means they and their children are not entitled to any sense privacy is bizarre. By that same reckoning, anyone who has ever taken public funds, e.g. claimants of welfare, civil servants and anyone who has received public fund are not entitled to a private life & should have the details of their movements and choices for the children splashed all over the front cover of the Mail.

In reality of course, it’s nothing to do with them having public funds. It’s simply because they are high profile and people want to know their business so can’t stop themselves from being vile when they choose not to.

Itssosunny · 11/07/2019 14:07

Oh, please, leave the baby alone! He is a normal size for his age and his legs are a giveaway. At four months they would be quite fatGrin
Seriously people, stop harassing M and leave them alone. Some of you sound really pity and pathetic.

Why should we be. It wasn't right, why shouldn't we say so.

Parker231 · 11/07/2019 15:21

I can’t see anything wrong. No one knows whether she was holding the baby awkwardly. The press have shown a couple of photos. She could have just been lifting him to get him in a better position. Mine hated socks and hats so unless it was freezing, they didn’t wear them.

I didn’t realise that Mn was full of perfect parents.

NeckPainChairSearch · 11/07/2019 15:30

I dunno. Maybe because it just sounds like the usual white noise of judgmental, bullying, batshit crap that every MM thread attracts?
