I'm in Berks and so uncomfortable. Feel like I'm in a lukewarm sauna. Bleurgh!

In fairness I think Brisbane gets hotter AND more humid than the UK.

Dowser · 25/06/2019 22:36

I’ll have all your dry muggy weather if you’ll please take our rain, rain and constant rain 😡😡😡

KatherineJaneway · 25/06/2019 22:40

Way too humid here.

gower4 · 25/06/2019 22:41

Does anyone else feel weird in humid weather? I felt woozy and dizzy yesterday.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 25/06/2019 22:53

@gower4 yes! I've been getting sudden dizzy spells for the last 2 days but hadn't attributed it to the weather.

ExpletiveDelighted · 26/06/2019 07:31

Feels slightly fresher here this morning (SE) but that's because the wind has picked up a bit. We had storms forecast for the middle of the week but no sign of any.

HulksPurplePanties · 26/06/2019 07:48

When people from countries such as Australia etc laugh at us when we moan the heat it's because they have dry heat. We have that swampy humid heat where you can't sweat properly to cool off because the air has too much moisture in it for your sweat to evaporate. So 30 in the UK is much more unbearable than 30 degrees in a dry heat.

To be fair, people living in the Middle East laugh at people in the UK/Canada/US when they complain about humidity. You have no idea. My glasses never steamed up in Canada, they do here every time I go outside.

Mmmgoats · 26/06/2019 08:22

I think when people in other countries laugh at us for not being able to deal with the heat, they forget we don’t have air con...

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 26/06/2019 09:03

My friends in Brisbane and Sydney don't have air con - in 45 heat one of them hoses down the outside of the house in the morning, but that's about it. Also friends in the south of France and Italy don't have air con.

I just think they get used to the heat. One (from Seville) insisted on wearing a coat to eat outside in London during last year's heatwave. I was dying from the heat.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 26/06/2019 09:05

However I must add that my colleague's parents (in Brisbane) frequently complain about the bitter cold of their winter (about 20 degrees).

ssd · 26/06/2019 09:22

You all have my sympathy.
I'm currently lying in bed with the window open behind me, nice cool breeze coming in and the birds are singing. In Scotland.

YorkieTheRabbit · 26/06/2019 09:35

It’s only 13 degrees in my greenhouse Angry another grey wet cool day here in West Yorkshire

1CarefulLadyOwner · 26/06/2019 09:51

Not humid, but I am in Europe and the temperatures in the shade this week have been well over 32°c, so far, with my outside thermostat recording 42°c yesterday. Cools off to about 26°c by about 03:00 so it is rather "hot".

historysock · 26/06/2019 10:16

I'm in herts and a bit chilly 🤷🏽‍♀️ bloody weather doesn't know what it's doing!

Al203 · 26/06/2019 13:02

I have the constitution of a camel and love to feel the perspiration running into all my cracks.

SilverNewMoon · 26/06/2019 13:04

Yes, I could barely sleep last night Sad

Bluerussian · 26/06/2019 13:36

Very pleasant today. Was dull earlier (still warm, 22o), but sunny now.
Not humid like yesterday.

Where I live the temperature is supposed to be 31 on Saturday! I hope there's a decent breeze. Oh to be down on the coast in that weather.

Dowser · 28/06/2019 04:40

Yayyy..n Yorks got a crack at some sunshine yesterday and very nice it was too
